I dislike him so much, I spent good $$ on a kids movie for the grands, I discovered he was in it. I broke it and threw it away.
I agree with your assessment that Alec Baldwin is a putz. How many people did that fat headed worthless assed Ted Kennedy kill? This putz won't even have to go to court.
I agree with your assessment that Alec Baldwin is a putz. Except for adding the word colossal in front of it would make it more truthful. How many people did that fat headed worthless assed Ted Kennedy kill? This putz won't even have to go to court.
The Brandon Lee incident happened on the set of The Crow, the story was the had done close ups of the gun being pointed at his character before he was shot and they had inert rounds in the gun (revolver). They swapped them out with blanks but the round had fallen out of somehow got lodged in the barrel and when then the blank was fire it propelled the tip into his abdomen.shades of Brandon Lee or something else? Inquiring minds want to know....
How the hell did a live round get on the set?
My first thought too. Thought all those movie firearms were not live ammunition.
Plus, two apparently were hit. By the same round, or was he repeatedly firing?
And was it accidental?
I think the show was called Cover Up, but it was earlier than 90'sWel THERE's the Problem. Jensen Ackles. Supernatural, and Soldier Boy in "the Boys"...
===================================
In NYC, the prop guns get loaded by a separate prop person, who is overseen by an ON DUTY cop and who has the authority to stop ANYTHING he has a problem with.
there are other failsafe in there as well.

In the late 90's there was a show which used the song "I need a hero" as a theme. ANYhow, the male lead in that show was horsing around with a prop auto that he put to his head and shot. At tneh TIME there were not a LOt of protections involved and well, what he shot WAS the blank, which was a wax pellet, which entered his head and proved fatal after a few days....
Um, New Mexico.....Yeah, I thought they were as careful about double checks and safe guards as they are drawing blood and starting IV meds- maybe Arizona is less strict?
Maybe this will convince leftists who pretend for a living and hate guns to stop making movies where they make great use of guns.
Naaaaaah...
Yep, it was in 1984 Jon-Erik Hexum was the actor who was playing Russian roulette.I think the show was called Cover Up, but it was earlier than 90's
If the scene required the 'shooter' to be facing the camera when discharging the weapon, I can see how the people 'behind' the camera might be hit with live ammo.
That’s no longer the case, and hasn’t been for years. Most sound effects these days are dubbed-in. The on-stage guns just make a little pop.Blank rounds are often overloaded with powder to give a realistic "BANG" on camera.
This happened on a set bCk in the lat3 eighties early nineties with another actor, initial reports it was a blank gone wrong. Final analysis it was an actual bullet. He was quite the upcoming actor, iiirc it was a gay guy who swapped out the loads, unrequited love and all of that stuff.
THIS!!!!And why was he firing a prop gun at people who are BEHIND the camera?
Here's my theory. Baldwin is an actor and they tend to be creatively compulsive. He walked up to the pair before filming and performed a "gag" of shooting both people up close at point blank range. Oopsies, something isn't like the movies.
Blank cartridges are not harmless, they are dangerous within a few feet, rifle blanks are dangerous up to twenty feet. Movie prop guns are designed to not hold live ccartridges.
The blanks exert pressure and propel energy forward as the gasses expand.
I've destroyed all my movies with Robert DiNero, Jim Carrey, and every other super-liberal asshole who can't just act but feel compelled to run their commie pie holes against conservative, traditional America.I dislike him so much, I spent good $$ on a kids movie for the grands, I discovered he was in it. I broke it and threw it away.
I recall a show called "alias smith and jones'
1 of the stars did himself while showing off how blanks dont kill
The ironic twist in this whole story is that the film is centered around an accidental death (via NY Post):Alec Baldwin fired a prop gun on a set in New Mexico on Thursday, causing the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and wounding director Joel Souza.
The incident occurred on the set of “Rust,” an independent feature that was filming at the Bonanza Creek Ranch, a popular production location south of Santa Fe.
Hutchins, 42, was transported by helicopter to University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque, where she died. Souza, 48, was taken by ambulance to Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center in Santa Fe, where he is undergoing treatment for his injuries, according to the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s office.
The Sheriff’s office said in a statement that Hutchins and Souza “were shot when a prop firearm was discharged by Alec Baldwin, 68, producer and actor.” The Santa Fe New Mexican reported that Baldwin was questioned by investigators, and was in tears.
The real question is how this could have happened.“Rust” — a western feature that is also being produced by Baldwin — began filming this month.
Baldwin plays outlaw Harland Rust who helps his estranged 13-year-old grandson run from the law after the teen was sentenced to hanging for the accidental killing of a rancher in Kansas.
The death of Brandon Lee on the set of The Crow is the closest analogy to this. The leading theory is he was killed when a prop bullet was left in a prop gun and then a blank was fired. But, the details of that are still somewhat murky. Brandon Lee Apparently Killed by .44 Bullet : Movies: Even after autopsy finding, North Carolina police are still treating the actor's death as accidental.

And some have noted if "prop gun" is an accurate term to use here initially because, well--there are questions:This is the best rundown I've seen of prop gun accidents on sets. Prop guns and blanks can certainly be dangerous if not handled properly, just like regular guns. I haven't found examples of more than one person being hurt in an accident like this before. Movie Gun Deaths Blank Ammunition Deaths Blanks Can Kill

Two people shot, one dead and one critical?
That doesn’t sound accidental, nor like the work of a “prop.”
There’s something off about this story. https://t.co/yVTt1WymXL

Salty Cracker (he needs to sober up before doing a vid) said as much. "Trump Curse."It was Trump's fault.

He will be made a "hero" on the basis of "poor Alec" effect.I hope he gets charged for murder. But he probly won’t. I hope at least this stupid somebitch is ran out of the entertainment industry for ever and dies homeless, pooping on the streets of LA.
