I am sitting here like many of you, working hard to get things done. Slaving away to make sure we have enough to feed and clothe the family.
It is a struggle for many and often things are given up in order to make the book balance.
I try to have some empathy for those down on their luck, but this is getting silly!!
1) Nearly every single corner that has decent levels of traffic and many parking lots have someone begging for CASH.
2) We have urban campers all over the town including just about any wooded section in town that has a minimum of tree/ bush coverage. It has gotten so bad, that one of the local McDs has an entire camp ground 10 feet from their drive through.
Now, I have people aggressively coming into the office asking / demanding help as they......
a) No baby food
b) Need cash for food
c) Need cash for their charity..... I did believe the 80 year old that was going around for her church......the rest? Nope!
d) Just ran out of gas at the corner gas station and just needs me to give them xx Dollars so they can get to ?????
e) It goes on!!
EXCEPT the 80 year old with the walker, EACH AND EVERY ONE of them is working age, has a frigging STARBUCKS coffee cup in their hand and has no physical ailments that prevents them from moving quickly, jumping up or down the stairs or many of the things that at 60, I have a bit of trouble doing.
DOES NO ONE WORK ANYMORE!!!!!
