Yunno. Dominion and other voting machines are "computer" based. Same internal structure just put to a "different" use.
Computers are MARVELOUS in their adaptability to human purpose. I.e. saves labor in counting and actually counts more accurately than manual counting.
Of course it saves labor in CHEATING and actually cheats more accurately than manual cheating.
At least one of the reasons that "the cheat" was detected in 2020, was that the "algorithm" used to effect the cheat was IDENTICAL in repeated unrelated districts. One could look at the results, see the similarities to distant districts, and see the same "programming hand" in the result.
Like any computer it is possible to "infect" the computer programming - and this way make it do "different" things from the program originators.
Think "Stuxnet" - which was, and is, a now "rogue" program used by various US Government entities to disable Iranian nuclear fuel processing. A virus was introduced - and the control computers went "crazy" and ruined the process. It is said that it set back the Iranian nuclear fuel processing at least two years.
Stuxnet - Wikipedia
Now Dominion can be "stuxnetted" like any other computer. I would be surprised if it has not happened. Governments are not the only programmers in the world, or the only "hackers."
Wouldn't it be interesting if it were found that some MAGA enthusiast "hacked" these machines to FORCE going to hand-counting?

Who is good on computers, but not THAT good.
