I deal with them every day unfortunately. They are at all levels of society. Had I not learned to be very self-controlled I would probably be doing life at Lowell Annex here in Florida (max security for women). People are by and large stupid to the point of failure to deserve their existence. Oh well. God is allowing this situation to bring something to a head I suppose. So I let Him control the wheel. Just because there are certain idiots that think they are in charge doesn't mean they are correct.
Lots of people survive because I don't want to do time . . .

Indeed it is..... :kaid:
Dennis is feeling what we see happening everyday. It just never seems to end. I have never seen people in power working so hard to ruin this country. Subsequently, people all over the world are feeling the same about their nations and leaders. One thing for sure, this ride is far from over and we all are going to have to pace ourselves....
DH used to call this "the long march". Pick your battles and the hill you choose to die on.

You know what angry women do. They clean. I suggest finding an inner talent like this.

Men: ARE YOUR TOOLS OFF THE COUNTER YET? For Heaven’s sake get that stuff organized today. There WILL be an inspection. Or perhaps I’ll organize them for you. Bawahaha. There are just so many things like this to turn to while you wait on “the time”.

Oh yes! I actually prefer physical destruction.

I chop wood when I'm pissed. Just the simplicity of physical effort on something is quite Zen to me.

Chop that wood. I got enough for the neighborhood, :D

I get stressed at times but I have to tell myself God is in control, I’m not But have wanted to allow my anger to get the best of me. I get out in nature enjoying the little bit of beauty we have left. Watch the birds eat from my window and tell myself God takes care of them and I am as well. I get enjoyment from my dog and cat and love them as much as I can. Take walks with my dog. They have no idea other than what they sense in what your feeling. The people drive like nuts on the roads and I stay home more and try to avoid the times when the streets are the busiest. I read holocaust books because I want to know how people survived all this and tolerated all that they did and yet some persevered while many did not. And I have to start reading my Bible but Satan keeps interfering! I refuse to be on Satans side!

As to the holocaust, I highly recommend this documentary: Four Seasons Lodge (2008) - IMDb

It's about holocaust survivors (quite elderly now) who gather at this lodge in upstate New York every year. They talk about 101 things, and they talk about surviving the holocaust.

It's well done and compelling, but not depressing.

Some won't get why I'm posting this this exchange from Star Trek TNG, but some will...

Kevin Uxbridge : [of Rishon] I saw her broken body. I went insane. My hatred exploded. And in an instant of grief... I destroyed the Husnock.

Doctor Beverly Crusher : Why did you try to hide this from all of us? Was it out of guilt for not helping Rishon and the others when they were alive?

Kevin Uxbridge : No, no, no, no, no, you-you don't understand the scope of my crime. I didn't kill just one Husnock, or a hundred, or a thousand. I killed them all. All Husnock, everywhere. - Are 11,000 people worth... 50 billion? Is the love of a woman worth the destruction of an entire species?

This reminded me of a scene from the film Courage Under Fire.

Denzel Washington plays Nat Serling, a tank group commander. In an early scene, just before leading his group into battle, he gathers his group, and prays. When he finishes the prayer, he says "Now let's kill 'em all".

Nothing short of the total collapse of the hard infrastructure that enables the citizens today will move them into action of any kind short of electronic farts on the few avenues of expression that they are allowed.
I must agree with you. I do not want to - but I must. it saddens me to see what we've become and I vacillate between anger and KNOWING that this is all according to HIS plan. I have trouble knowing what we are to do DESPITE constantly asking for guidance.

once long ago when I was in the process of leaving my first wife I was seeing a female counselor. in the VERY FIRST meeting she told me "you're too responsible". . . I was very puzzled by the remark and asked for clarification . . . her response was "you accept responsibility for things that are not yours to worry about"

perhaps I have always been that way. there are some parts of life in which that "trait" (or curse) is quite beneficial. when I was in practice for instance - being absolutely certain all i's were dotted and t's crossed. but now I believe it haunts me. is that what's happening to and with me now?

I am not worried or concerned for myself. I am however DEEPLY concerned for the future of my children and grandchildren.

TB is a sieve- all the bad news gets dumped here, so it is concentrated industrial strength crazy doom. Being our fearless (feckless?) leader- you see all of it in real time. Like being in battle with no R&R for how many years now? This is the path you Chose. No one can do this job like you can. You Stood and for that, I am eternally thankful. You my dear, are a lightning rod. Expect some lightning inbound.

Your pups feel your emotions and they try to eat them and turn you into a more happy placid fellow. That is the work they Chose. That is the essence of Dog. Dark emotion makes you sick and them as well. They are fine tuned to how you feel 24/7. They too, get no R&R. Makes for a short life in a dog. I am not saying that normal injuries, cancer, etc. are caused by your emotions, but am saying that heavy emotions are just adding more to an already heavy load. They crave your love; not your anger or worry about things in human world. You can't explain to Hairy that he didn't make you angry, but he feels he did. They are your warm furry Shield Wall. Pack.

I honestly believe that 90% of life is attitude and 90% of that is controlling where your attention goes. If you focus on the bad, or can't or won't distance yourself from it- you will get more of it. Your health is poor because your Shield Wall is not thick enough. Balance is the secret Key. Find something that gives you Joy to counterbalance all that sadness and anger. Find your Bliss- and go there often. Snapping at staff and members, bemoaning your poor health, it is obvious to me that for your your sake and the sake of the pups- you have some shoring up to do. Remember Gandalf standing, planting his staff and shouting, "Thou shalt not pass!!" Yeah, that fierce and that determined. Cold as ice, as the world turns to fire around you. Warm and loving to your Pack.

This is the Long March and you are walking point. Sort this mess out and get some decent R&R (even if it is just in your head) and then, get back in the battle. You ain't seen nothing' yet. Their side is just getting warmed up. We need you here, healthy and fierce. Loving and protective of your little Pack.

I am here if you need to PM.

The last two long days I have been working at the neighbor's place building a gazebo. Its done and this morning I fired up the forge and made four tie-downs for the building. This old man is way too tired right now to worry about how things are going in Washington.

I will have to find that one! Surprisingly I don’t get depressed with the holocaust books or movies. I guess because it is a survivor and what they went through and how they managed to get through it. God usually has helped them in surprising miraculous ways. It is sad about the others that didn’t but maybe He wanted them to persevere in the most unsurvivable conditions and such hatred, and tell their stories to make us realize He is there and make us aware that it could happen again. Thanks for the tip!

Yeah...whether its ultimately a good or bad thing...I usually revert into my inbred work-alcoholism. My attitude of "taking care of mine" gets put on steroids as well as living life as quiet, understated, unflamboyant, unflashy, and unassuming as possible.

It's on. Actually since November 4, 2020 it's been on. Only now the work-alcoholism is worse because it's getting more expensive for just about everything...and I don't see that getting better.

And I don't see myself changing my attitude toward "folks" that ascribe to a political worldview that is destroying this country, its economy, its borders, its families, its institutions, and its freedoms either.

Another thing to do is something good for someone else unconditionally. My friend talked to a homeless woman maybe in her 40s and her husband was abusive and kept the kids and she was kicked out into the streets (she should have went to a shelter for abused women) anyway I wasn’t there to suggest that but she listened to her problems and consoled her, maybe gave her some money I don’t know. She admitted she was seriously thinking of suicide. Some other people came by, she wasn’t soliciting but they gave her money for temporary lodging. My friend said she didn’t look like someone wHo took drugs but you never know. I told my friend she might have saved her life by giving her inspiration.

Today I had some boxes of China painting supplies left over from my Mothers estate and didn’t want to store them anymore in my basement and didn’t know how to do it. I called a community college and talked to the art teacher. She said she couldn’t use them but the next day she called me and had asked her students and they were interested. She picked them up today and said are you sure you don’t want money for them? The porcelain is quite expensive. I said no, I am donating them. She really appreciated it and I did it unconditionally to give people that paint something to make their world more beautiful! It made me feel good and I know my deceased Mother would be happy!

that’s what life is all about!

Thanks will check that one out too, currently reading Mitka’s Secret. It is really good and God delivered a message to him. He was just 4 or 5 when he entered the camps! Amazing How many times he almost lost his life! Back when he was that age he gives an account of what he can remember but as the story progresses he gets older and gives more details.

Putting some paint on the front porch.
Got the chimney cleaned.
Cleaned the dryer vent.
Purchased a grate and fireplace tools.
Getting another crape myrtle for that bare spot.
Lost 25 pounds on keto.
Increased my walk to a mile with only marginal discomfort.
Improved my breathing with the walking.

Today is the equinox, so it will start getting cooler which means there are several winter readiness projects to get lined up like scheduling the winter heating system check and maintenance.

Explain how it will be exactly like Nazi Germany.

One of the first, and the most important, things Germany did was gun confiscation. Americans have approximately 500,000,000 guns. They have ALL the cards?
Easy. They shut down the supply lines in the country. (Sound familiar?) Suddenly food is no longer available except what the government allows. Turning in a gun gets you more food rations. After that, turning in someone who has guns will get you more food. Gun ownership in this country will drop like boulder off a cliff.

They had a come-to-Jesus moment on the spot face to face with some folks with creds to deliver on serious threats, I was told...
When we looked at the pics, my bride and I determined that there were a NUMBER of folks arrayed on the top of that hill and on the side of the road who had brought TOOLZ and MAD SKILLZ using those toolz.
She recognized the standard basic prone shooter's position on the road, and we both identified the horse soldiers who KNEW what they were riding and HOW to ride, as well as how to use phased deployments to set the FEDDIES teeth on edge and made them look REAL HARD at what they were facing.

The Feddies suddenly recognized that what they had originally considered a crowd of rubberneckers and ME-TOO-(ers) was a solid, cohesive, SUPERIOR FORCE holding the HIGH ground with more firepower than they had.

So they blinked, and stood down and the local judges got kinda pissed with the FEDDIES as to how they had operated.

You got it down with fewer words but, yeah, creds and skillz...

My entire (considerable) fabric stash got water damaged during the recent flood. I have been washing, drying, ironing, folding, and putting back in storage according to fabric type and useage for over a week now. Cutting the grass in a 5 acre yard that two months ago was dry bare dirt. Dehydrating and canning harvest, getting my Craft Cottage ready for the new Spinning Wheel. Taking care of a tiny 5 month old kitten, who lived through fly strike, but could not live through neurological deformity. Even the Vet could not save her.

Work is the place my Spirit goes to find comfort and, if done hard enough, a decent sleep.
I wish (how I wish!!) I had time to hang on the phone and enjoy hours with a new made friend (Talking to you, Sam).

Crazy busy doesn't leave much time to spaz about things I can't change.

Just when it's too much, I chop wood.

See I'm a "don't talk about it, just do it" kinda gal. I don't put much stalk in chest thumping and pumping.

I'm just a don't talk it, won't be it kind of person.

People get real surprised like when they buck up on you, get in your face type of deal and you dot that eye just as soon as they make physical contact with you. Learned that one in HS and have honed it.

My release valve for when I can't drop the hammer on a fool is chopping wood.

Other than that I'm a hellofa gal.

I know Dennis can't walk right now, but spending time walking on a nature trail or maybe even just sitting there is worthwhile.

I have a ton of outside projects going on, too, and it's now cool enough to get back to them. I can work off a lot of anger and stress while weeding, chopping up dead branches, and cleaning up the garden for spring planting.

a good portion of this is ABSOLUTE TRUTH.

however there is an INFINITELY LARGER portion that is similarly ABSOLUTE TRUTH. lets spell it out AGAIN:

we are here becasue we
ALLOWED IT
TOLERATED IT
ACCEPTED IT

just as we are seeing the huge increases in VIOLENT CRIME secondary to the Soros appointed DA's "soft on crime/defund the police" mindset - so also will you see huge increases of the jackbootery by the thugs above you.

is it - or is it not - a UNIVERSAL TRUTH that "what you REWARD you get more of"?

we have on this board - right now - a thread that speaks to the issue of "not saying anything to anyone becasue you risk personal injury violence and death - basically simply for SPEAKING TRUTH - and offending somebody".

here are some real questions:

WHAT DOES IT TAKE to get you to understand that you are exceedingly close to NONEXISTENCE?
do you quite honestly BELIEVE that your condition will somehow be "improved" by more "going along to get along"?
do you honestly NOT SEE that you are DEAD together with your progeny - REGARDLESS of what you course of action you chose in terms of resistance?

IN WHAT UNIVERSE ARE YOU PEOPLE LIVING?
do you truthfully NOT SEE that you are IN the gulag RFN?

you are GOING to buy the ticket - they will have it NO OTHER WAY. you'd be MUCH better off to acknowledge that reality and realize you're gonna HAVE TO take the ride

as for me - I'll go down (likely very quickly) ON MY FEET rather than as a groveling POS
I will NOT live on my knees
I will NOT COMPLY
as for those of you who view these things differently, may your shackles rest lightly on your shoulders. may you be given the ability and clarity of thought to construct believable lies as your grandchildren grovel in the waste and rubble at your feet and ask "HOW DID THIS HAPPEN TO US"

You speak of the flesh. I live for the spirit.

Being exceedingly close to NONEXISTENCE in the flesh means nothing to me. The flesh must die. And, the spirit means ETERNAL EXISTENCE. I SHALL turn the other cheek. That's the world that I live in. I'm in it, but not of it.

The Good Shepherd knows his sheep, and those sheep know to follow His voice alone, they follow not a strange voice, nor do they make the mistake of following their own voice.

And even the Jordan river has bodies floatin'
But you tell me

Don't you understand what I'm trying to say
Can't you feel the fears I'm feeling today?
If the button is pushed, there's no runnin' away
There'll be no one to save with the world in a grave
Take a look around you boy, it's bound to scare you, boy
And you tell me

Yeah, my blood's so mad, feels like coagulatin'
I'm sittin' here just contemplatin'
I can't twist the truth, it knows no regulation

And marches alone can't bring integration

Ah, you may leave here for four days in space looking for a safe space
But when you return, it's the same old place

Not easy. Those with loads of food will most likely have loads of guns, too. They will realize they can't fight it alone, nor can they likely shoot more than one weapon at a time. Preppers could easily replenish any weapons turned in. There are likely half a dozen guns in this country for every able-bodied man (not slighting women at all) who will take a stand.

On food, enough people handing out rations will easily take a bribe, if it ever comes to that. The only reason today's Africa has hunger is because of corruption in food distribution.

I get every word Dennis. As has been posted further up the thread by people who understand how the Bolsheviks slowly creep over the political opponents of freedom. Be strong in spirit, this is where they have a difficult time with Clay quenched irons in the fire Christians.

I met a Russian defector. He was a long distance swimmer, and a believer. He was arrested and imprisoned when they suspected he was swimming his way to freedom instead of just training.

10 years of deprivation, and forced med’s.

Upon his ‘reformed’ release, he only wanted freedom even more.

He went back to training. Did extensive research as to best place to put in to begin his swimmers exodus. He read German studies on colors less attractive / attacked by sharks, red!

He was not an intimidating man, though he had to be physical-mentally-&-spiritually strong to even contemplate his quest.

This event took place in near early 1st term or PE-40, Ronald Reagan. I met the man in 1994 as he was invited to speak to a small group of us in my port town.

There are more details, though I prefer to keep it brief. This man did not have the anger or frustration that all of us experience from time to time. He had a single focus.

28 years ago, a Russian school teacher taught me the lesson of freedom. The indomitable spirit of never giving up, never losing faith.

When I watch the current National SITREP, I understand there is a popcorn phase the nation has to go through. The entire devolution theory does not escape observation here. An animated contest of sorts.

Things will get froggy like October 1962 in some manner. We’ve enjoyed a 60 year life cycle since then. It’s time to program a new batch of conservatives in CONUS & The West. That’s the problem with the soft socio-political underbelly and up-bringing of The West.

Let’s fix this $#!+ with good strong minds, indomitable spirit, bent knee, and chin up upon arising.

You are not alone in this daily battle.
