Usually when one is involved in a crash they don't run over people and keep running over people and then bust out the end of the parade barricades and keep running. You stop, show that you are sorry an accident occurred and you hand over your insurance information and drivers license.
This was intentional, Once you hit the first person and keep going it is intentional. The "suspect" put everything in his life ahead of everything in his victims lives. I think it absolutely sick that the left sided media is making jokes about self defense right now. I think Hollywood and Nashville are full of sick people and I refuse to spend a dime on their brand of "Entertainment" I am now starting to blacklist every advertiser on MSM. I don't need Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Budweiser or funky gadgets as much as I need a free country that is true to it's constitutional promises.

WAUKESHA — UPDATE: Waukesha Police released new information just after Midnight Monday saying five people are confirmed dead and more than 40 are injured after a car drove through a crowd at the Waukesha Holiday parade Sunday evening.
Initial reports said 11 of the victims transported to hospitals are adults and 12 are children, officials said in a news conference. Police said multiple people are dead, but did not say how many. Children's Wisconsin later said in an emailed statement that it had received 15 patients at its hospital.
The incident was live-streamed on the City's Facebook page. A video sent to TMJ4 shows a car driving through a busy section of the parade and hitting at least half a dozen people. The car continued to drive through the parade and then the video ended.
Among the injured are a Catholic priest, as well as several parishioners and Catholic school children, the Archdiocese of Milwaukee said in a statement Sunday night.
"Our prayers are with the people who have been injured and killed during the tragic incident in Waukesha," the Archdiocese said.
The Waukesha School District announced that classes would be canceled Monday as a result of the incident and that counselors would be made available to students.
The incident happened on Main Street beginning at Barstow and going past Gasper. The vehicle had to drive past a barricade to get into the parade.
Waukesha County Executive Paul Farrow issued a statement about the incident. He said he had just finished participating in the parade when learned about the car driving through the parade.

Waukesha police have arrested a person of interest and have recovered their vehicle, calling the scene "safe and secure" as of late Sunday night. Police said they fired at the suspect's vehicle to try to stop it, but nobody was hurt when those shots were fired.

A reunification center has been set up near the metro transit center by Bank Street.

"Please pray for our community tonight after the horrific events at the Waukesha Christmas Parade. I had just finished participating in the parade with my wife when I noticed police sirens. Shortly afterward, I learned that a vehicle drove through the parade route injuring many people. Right now, we are still learning about what happened. This is an active investigation, and all updates tonight will come from our law enforcement partners. I have been in contact with Mayor Reilly and offered any resources the county could provide. I have also spoken with the Governor who offers his prayers and assistance. This is an unspeakable tragedy, affecting us all as we work to overcome an extremely challenging two years and resume our cherished holiday traditions. Keep the families affected in your thoughts as we work to offer whatever support we can."

The Milwaukee Dancing Grannies are devasted by this terrible tragedy with of loss of life and injuries in the Waukesha Christmas parade.
Our group was doing what they loved, performing in front of crowds in a parade putting smiles on faces of all ages, filling them with joy and happiness. While performing the grannies enjoyed hearing the crowds cheers and applause which certainly brought smiles to their faces and warmed their hearts.
Those who died were extremely passionate Grannies. Their eyes gleamed.....joy of being a Grannie. They were the glue....held us together.
Our hearts are heavy at this most difficult time, as more information and updates become available it will be posted . Please keep them their families, friends, the Milwaukee Dancing Grannies and everyone who lives have forever changed in your thoughts and prayers

Is there any proof that the suspect was actually behind the wheel at the parade?
What happens if the suspect lawyers up and says the vehicle was stolen or that somebody else was driving his SUV?
I'm really curious how vigorously the authorities are going to prosecute this guy and how they are going to attribute a motive.
To my mind, it is domestic terrorism based on his prior statements.

Never heard that one... I've been doing it ages but it's a side effect of driving a semi and working on oilfield properties. It's required at both truck stops and on job sites for us to back in so it just became habit.
