I forgot to say 'Good Morning, All!' Hope everyone is having a good week so far - little more'n 9 hours into it and I've got coffee in front of me, friends (yeah, you guys lol!) to chat with, and the two younger grandsons and the grand-dog coming out in a bit, so it's starting out pretty good
Thursday, I had loaded all my garden marking stuff in to the Mule and hauled it out to the front garden and had just started moving stuff around when I got an Obi-Wan call from work... I ended up working a 16 hour shift, didn't stop for anything on the way home, and was in my jammies and headed for bed when I remembered I had a chiro appointment at 11.... B12 to the rescue! I had to go downstairs to find a pair of my summer leggings to wear to the appointment; ended up doing a little picking and choosing in the 'seasonal' closet down there and tossed some stuff in the dryer to fluff it up while I got cleaned up and ready to go. I still had enough time before I had to leave to spend cleaning and re-fill the humming birdfeeders, and to give the garden plant jungle on the porch a good watering before I had to head to town - those tiny pots dry out fast!
Youngest grandson called while I was getting worked on - he wanted to come out to the farm; I managed to put him off until today by reminding him he had a cook out to go to in the early evening . Then I sat down in my recliner and didn't wake up until Hubby got home from his IDPA match - 4th out of 22 - and told me he was going out to mow. I decided I didn't have the proper attitude to lay out the garden (who me, being cranky?) since it was supposed to rain and I'd probably have to till again if it did, so settled for doing some work in the house instead - got most of the new stuff to take to the foster kid closet packed up to drop off later this week, washed dishes, did my work laundry, cleared the counter, blah blah blah...
And then it didn't end up raining
So now the forecast isn't calling for rain until late this afternoon and the sign is right for planting so as soon as this cup of coffee is empty I'm going to head out and get the garden marked off for planting; and hopefully get at least some of my plants put in to the ground. That ought to be enough to give my chiro something to work on when I go back tomorrow morning
Hubby let youngest grandson drive the Mule last week, so I'm pretty sure I can get him to haul stuff out to the garden for me Per the forecast, it looks like we've got a half inch of rain forecast for tonight, and an inch throughout the day tomorrow so that should work out fine for the garden. I'll end up getting my corn in late because I forgot to ask the cousins to go over the back garden while they had the disk out, but late corn is better than no corn - and maybe I won't have to deal with corn, tomatoes, and green beans all at the same time that way!
Well, the kids should be here soon; guess I'd better get the dishes done and the garden marking gear and plants loaded in to the buggy. You folks all take care; stay safe, and have a great week!
