Actually, temperature wise, this has been quite a mild winter where I am in north central Arkansas. The GSM difference in this area is that it is cloudy far more than half of the time now, and just when it seems the rain is over and we might get some sun, here comes another batch of rain! And even when the temp is mild and it doesn't rain, there is more often than not a wind out of the NNW that is icy...bone-chilling, even when one stays in the sun.
Northern Watch, thanks for posting these. I've been wondering how Europe was faring since I'd seen the forecast for this big storm.
Oh, get that. It seems like, say, those of us down in Texas get a real mild winter, while north of us gets absolutely hammered, so the AGCC cultists average things and says "warmer than evah"! But it isn't always the average, it's often the delta of magnitude between regions that matters. And that's just talking about America. Looking at Europe right now, that's the hammer of Thor coming down.
The Cult of human climate change is going to run us into a corner with no way out.
It has been a very warm winter here in the Midwest where I am. We had our windows open almost every day from Thanksgiving until after New Year's. Super Bowl, we spent a few hours playing with our kids outside, no jackets needed. Very unusual. All the while Wunderground is saying this is America's warmest winter ever...
TxGal, thanks for posting these...I forgot to mention them here.
I think I like these shorter podcasts, although they seem to be overdoing it now and then. Or would that more accurately be called "underdoing"?
“I would love to have a machine that could scan and read books to me. I think there might be such a thing for blind people, but I'm sure it would cost far more than I could manage.”
You need a grandchild or two.
Ice Age Farmer seems to make up another good video about three or four times a month, like maybe every eight to ten days. Adapt 2030, the guy just move from Taiwan back to the US. so I imagine he's pretty busy finding a new home and getting settled. He's put out a couple of rushed small videos, but nothing we don't already know from elsewhere.
David DuByne has posted a new Adapt 2030 MIAC #272.
"You Don't Matter When There Is Corporate Money in the Way"
runs 22:32
Searcher, this is the format we've listened to for a long time, except that this one is an interview as well. I hope he goes back to the old format and sticks with it...to me, the old ones seemed a lot more informative.
I know and I wasn't being defensive, just explaining something that this thread is too long for you to go way back and see for yourself.
His MIACs (Mini Ice Age Conversations) were numbered and of medium duration. He had a different series at the same time (don't know if it had a title) and they also were numbered, much higher numbers, and were much shorter and generally seemed to stick more to a single topic than the MIAC ones.
I'd like to see him get back to his older style, but whether he does or not, it will be nice if he gets back to doing his podcasts more regularly.
