It's not the words or actions of Donald Trump which turns people off to him.

It's his supporters.

I have over 100 people here on ignore, a record since the last 2 elections, btw, and suspended it to read the vitriol for one day. I've seen worse personal attacks against me, hell, when I was on the radio I had the Islamofacists threaten my family. But if what I've seen on this board and other news sites is a microcosm of the nation and the absolutely over the top Trump support, then this nation is in deep, deep trouble.

IF Trump is the nominee, right now I will vote for him. However, if the supporters keep acting in the fashion that they are attacking anyone who does not march in line with them, you will do nothing but drive off votes and any prayer he has of winning.

There are no absolutes in American politics and despite the heavy mouth breathing and attacks on those supporting other candidates at this time, the end result will be that we just do not show up at the polls again.

If you think Trump can win without Libertarians or old fashioned conservatives, ask President McCain how his first term went.

Because it is personal; attack the messenger, not the subject matter. When real issues are discussed, the messenger is attacked. When facts are discuss, call the messenger a liar. When there is something fun to play with like the non-Norris endorsement, it gets personal.

I'm amazed actually. Everyone claims that "us preppers" and "us patriots" need to unify.

Then when someone disagrees they launch personal attacks against the poster. It's not just here, it's on FR, Trumpbart, you name the conservative/prepper message board the attacks are personal and totally unrelated to the subject matter.

Personally, as I've said before, I don't care. I have my Gulch and 97% of the members here will be behind FEMA trucks begging like the people they used to mock.

It is just sad that unprovoked actions like I've seen are viewed as justified and thus the thinking is that there are not consequences;

The big one is, what if WE don't show up to support Trump and he loses to the Hildabeast?

Or has everyone forgotten how great the President Romney administration has been?

Trump is not a conservative. And I'm not doomed, America is. The nice thing about being an adherent to Objectivism is that we are selfish. We and what WE care about comes first. Screw everyone else if they wish to deviate from the ideals of our Founders, Adam Smith, etc.
