I was just mentioning to a friend the other day that I was thankful for the Y2K scare. It woke me up. Before that, I was just going along living life like everyone else was. Y2K is the thing that shook me awake to the fact that we should be preparing for hard times. It also shook me out of my spiritual complacency. And if things are really going south this time, and everything appears as though it is, I'm very thankful that we had a warning, even though it was really nothing to worry about.
