INSANITY Woman takes son to vet because he identifies as a cat

It may be satire, but there are kids in school who do identify as critters. And the School Board accommodates them.

If I was the teacher with one of these "critters", I'd call animal control and have them picked up cause they're not licensed. Parents could retrieve them at the shelter, once the police are done with them (parents) for child endangerment.

What was satire a few months ago is reality today. Unfortunately its just that crazy today.
It is!

But we need to be wise & discerning in news sources. Nothing against Bev the OP, as it seemed legit until closet squirrels post.

The Sky News person said, "It's becoming impossible to know what's real and what's parody." So true! Especially now with AI. But...why didn't she find out? It took me maybe two minutes.

And....why are the astute people here still commenting as if it's real? Because they didn't read the whole thread, I guess......

In high school (late 90s) I worked in a VeterinarianvClinic and always got to help in the surgeries. Cat neutering was the quickest, easiest procedure I'd ever seen. De-clawing made me nauseous though.
People need to understand what "declawing" actually does! Basically cutting the first joint of their toes off!

She is kidding. she does these type of satire videos all the time. Im pretty sure she is the same one who made the video about eggs being vegan because the chickens are eating grass.
I checked out the you tube link, but it is not to the woman in the video---it is to the SKY NEWS site.

And the caption says: "Sky News host Rita Panahi has reacted to a video of a woman who took her son to be treated by a vet because he identified as a cat."

So.......do you know the lady's site who did the cat video? Since I assume that is whom you meant did "satire videos all the time". I'd like to see her video about eggs being vegan.

IOW--I need an explanation of "she" does satire videos all the time. Who does? The news anchor (in which case this is very irresponsible of Sky News if it is supposed to be a 'news' channel) or the woman in the video?

I'm not convinced this IS satire, IOW--since I know of it going on IRL.

I simply have a hard time believing that ANY parent would go along with such nonsense. I know how my parents would have reacted.

"You want to be a cat? Fine. Here's your litterbox, and do you prefer Friskies, or Meow Mix?"

I'll see your parent and raise you a school. Seriously.

Was told at one of the gun shows last year - Cedar Rapids, I believe it was - that a school actually had to out in a litter box for student who chose to ID as a cat. Elementary school. It wasn't supposed to be public knowledge but staff will talk to at least to the extent they don't jeopardize their jobs. This was eastern Iowa BTW.

That is going at a school where my boss's daughter goes. It was in her middle school a couple years ago. Not a low-income area--Forsyth County, GA.

See post #22.

I didn't see it at first, either, Bev!

I was referring to the woman in the video saying it is her son who identifies as a cat.

Her name is Kass Theaz. On Instagram she is isatandstared and on TikTok it is @isatandstared. Her account is labeled as satire.

While I don’t doubt this happens in real life, this particular woman runs a satire account. Go listen to her “vegan” video, it is funny. But it is 100% satire.

Ya know, Weebit tried to identify as a wolf when she was about 6-7. We ignored it, even ignoring her incessant howling. It didn't get her the attention she wanted. She gave up. She's a very normal 20 year old, monogamous to the same boy since she was 14. Works a job. Contributes at home. Loves her family.

My point is that instead of giving attention to the anomalous behaviour, starve it, then give positive attention to the good behaviour. I'm not saying don't spank when needed, but stuff like that is attention seeking.

I love Rita Panahi. She will show a "lefties losing it" video and then burst our laughing. She has a wonderful laugh and that dry sense of humor I love. You guys should search for her YouTube videos. She is a news announcer in Australia on Sky New.
