Well, he's in an awkward position. The adopted daughter is clearly part black, so it's tough for the father to lay down edicts about her dating only white guys. That said, I see a whole lot of enabling of bad behavior. This family had no core values.

I get that bw - and it IS a well taken point - and to be frank it was one of my first thoughts when I saw the daughters' picture. here's were it fell apart in my mind - as a FATHER - even if the kid was WHITE - there is no way in HELL that I am going to sanction my UN-married daughter having a live in boyfriend under MY ROOF. 18 -20 -29 doesn't matter. you will NOT do that under my roof because IF I KNOWINGLY ALLOWED that to occur then it means that I agree with it, accept it and in fact SANCTION it.

It was speculated on local Reddit for days it was the teenage boyfriend and it was over the stolen car, he was originally forbidden to date her and they obviously went soft on their stance to their own fatal demise. The adopted daughter looks like she wanted nothing more than a payday off life insurance. This is so typical of Dane Co. do gooders, bending over backwards only to be exploited and ultimately blamed they didn't do enough to cater to minority whims and to feel guilt on top of it all
Glad its resolved but the garbage festering in our high schools has got to come to an end. West High was where the black security guard was penalized for using the n word on a black student in an altercation on school grounds. Tensions in the school have been building for months and the students are hyper sensitive, acting out. Their murder tho shocking in its cold detachment does not surprise me. Hostilities are ramping up.

LOL! You are obviously one of those people who doesn't understand race, ethnicity and nationality. The adopted daughter is obviously part negro. Guatemala is not racially homogenous. There are white Guatemalans, black Guatemalans, mixed Guatemalans and Amerindian (and admixtures) Guatemalans. All of these people may be described as Hispanic, while being of different races and possibly, ethnicities. In truth, there are still arguments regarding who or what precisely qualifies as Hispanic.

I had the same reaction. Could not believe the parents set them up in the Airbnb. However, one of the reports I read quoted the daughter as saying her parents were paying the Airbnb for 2.5 weeks until she could find an apartment of her own. Now perhaps the parents were going to foot the bill for the apartment too, but it could have been that the parents kicked them both out (or daughter said "if you kick him out I'm gone too") and parents offered to pay a couple weeks and then expected them to pay their own way. They were both 18. That could explain why they were trying to figure out how to get money if parents weren't going to support the daughter anymore. Could also explain why they cooked up the murder plot. Just speculation.
Those text messages indicate she, at the minimum, knew what her boyfriend was up to that night. She did nothing to warn her parents and tried to cover for him the next day. She needs prison time as well.

Sanford has been charged with two counts of first-degree intentional homicide as a party to a crime in the deaths of Dr. Beth Potter and her husband, Robin Carre. Prosecutors allege Sanford and another man, Ali’jah Larrue, kidnapped the couple from their home before driving them to the Arboretum and shooting them.
The criminal complaint filed in the case alleges Potter and Carre had moved their daughter and Sanford into an Airbnb apartment prior to the murders and were concerned the younger couple was not following coronavirus guidelines when they were in Potter and Carre’s home.

A jogger found their bodies the morning of March 31, 2020.
Judge Ellen Berz, who is overseeing the case, banned all audio and video recording of the trial, meaning local media covering the case will only be allowed to use still photography. Any organization that violates the order would be held in contempt of court.
