Food White rice storage question

When I was cleaning my work room today I saw 2 5gallon buckets stacked in the corner. I totally forgot about them! Still haven’t dug them out yet but I remember they are both filled with jasmine white rice with those gamma lids. Haven’t opened in at least 15-20yrs.
What ya think? Will the be ok? I told hubby he needs to help me move some stuff to get to them planning on helping me next week, that’s when we will open and check them out.
Kinda excited to see how the rice kept for all these years!!!!

How were they packed/stored?
My question as well. If there wasn't mylar liners and oxygen absorbers properly used, I don't see any way that rice isn't rancid. And it *might* not be bug free, either... gamma seal lids aren't waterproof (something I found out the hard way) and if water can get in, I'm not sure some insects might manage.

out of everything mentioned - having the rice buckets in a "store room" is the worst part - hard telling what kind of taints & odors the food has been exposed to - even properly mylar & 02 packed food is endangered by exposures ....

10 years isn't that much for grains and dry goods type foods - 15-20 years almost bare azz stored will be pushing it - properly packed & stored white rice will go 30-35 and be ready to eat without problems ....

something like this situation in an emergency would be to make the rice work for food - try cooking it - grind it if nothing else and use it as flour supplement >>> last chance is animal feed

My “work room” is a spare bedroom just lots of boxes of lids and jars/bottles. A computer desk… part of my home :). I had hubby get to them late last night and we opened the top bucket. Looks, smells appears nearly like it did when I put them up. Gamma lids, Mylar bags and oxygen absorbers. I’m going to cook some up but I’m confident that the rice is going to be yummy!!! Yay!!!
