The DW is watching some movie and I walk through the living room and there is a commercial on.

How Cold War plans for nuclear war empowered the president to rip up the Constitution and blow up the world – and there’s nothing we can do to stop it. While the Rest of Us Die: Secrets of America's Shadow Government - NEW SERIES premieres Monday, 11/16 @10pm on VICE TV

I just caught a bit of it, but I tried to look it up. Granted, this is the first time we have had cable in 5 years, and I don't watch TV. But the imagery of the ad and it was Trump, stolen elections, deep state, etc.....

There were some youtube videos out there, but I will have to boot into Windows 10 to watch them. First I have hears of this. The timing tweaked my curiosity.....

Sounds like more deep state/anti-Trump rhetoric for brainwashing the masses. Hollywood's been in bed with them for generations, which we all already know and by golly, isn't the timing amazing? Will have to get ds to pull it up for me...Biden voters will watch this and think it's the real thing...oh my gosh, more screaming drama...how much more can we take? LOL

eta: thanks for bringing this up...they are for sure pulling out all the stops on this one.

Yeah, all of the images were from after the election. That is what caught my eye. The ad was finalized after 11/3/20.

I arrived home unexpected once, just as the wife was headed to a wives club meeting. So I grabbed a beer and sat down in the recliner. About twenty minutes later, she comes back to the house, slams the door, and yells "what the hell is going on - all the wives at the club are wailing". "the pilots wife says no one is ever going to fly with him again".

At least back to Ike but probably going back to Truman. A lot of the FEMA bunkers and the White House nuclear bomb shelter were started or built when he was president.

How do you do that. I want to but the need to know what is going on is strong. At times I think we need to know. Then some times I wish I knew nothing.

Time should be treated like money; set a budget. I know a guy, very intelligent, and very well informed, always on top of the latest news, conspiracy, etc. and can remember all the names, dates, places, and assoc. particulars. Loves speculating about what it really means, behind the curtain. Good at it too, and outside-of-the-box thinker, and frequently, I wish I'd thought of *that,* but...

Keeping up is ALL he does. He knows all that crap, and he is NOT a prepper! He eats every meal out, and doesn't take care of his health. The news is its own endless, and addictive hamster wheel. Not a good thing.

And they have this guy right where they want him. On their hamster wheel and not out DOING something. They live rent free in his head all the time. This poor creature has no life. He is missing so very much. Take a walk, go sailing, grow a garden, learn something. Life is too short not to.

I just watched it. It is very much a TDS hit piece but worth watching nonetheless. In the latter parts they do an all out push to scare people into thinking Trump will use the vast powers of his office to do something very destructive to the country and the world between now and Jan. 20th. They position him as out of control, unstable, and a danger to us all.

In the earlier parts of the show they talk about the 1950's/60's civil defense efforts being nothing more than a propaganda effort to appease the people. That part was interesting in that as a kid I remember seeing all those yellow civil defense signs and thinking this doesn't make any sense, that they only have facilities for a very small number of people. Apparently I understood the math better than the adult population at large.
