OT/MISC What do we do?

I wasn't sure what prefix to put this under. I think it could have been almost any of them. DISASTER, CRISIS, ALERT, ECON, ENV, GOV.....

I was wondering if anyone has been thinking along the same lines as I have lately. The SYSTEM we have now is BROKE.

It can't be fixed by more solutions from either of the two parties that represent us and I use the term represent loosely.

It can't be fixed by more last minute, have to rush 1000 page plus documents of NEW LAWS. I think there are already so many laws in place, the system we have gotten to is so complex, so large that no one can fully understand it and it doesn't work.

I love my country. I consider myself a patriot. But lately, I've been thinking we need to chunk the entire system and start over. Personally, I would start where the founding fathers first left off and make sure the appropriate amendments were created.

We have volumes and volumes of laws in place that are contradictory to a flourishing America. We NEED LESS Government!

Let’s abolish the Fed, the IRS, the complex legal system we have and start over.

We can simply the whole process and put everything we need in one volume, one book. We don’t need the Library of Congress to have whole rooms dedicated to different laws designed to tell American People how to live.

I’m not calling for Anarchy. No, I’m calling for Common Sense and a desire to survive the mess we have gotten ourselves into.

I find myself thinking it would be better to go ahead and have a total collapse so we can rebuild America into something more sensible but I worry that the old ways would intrude with corrupt politicians making the laws to benefit their “Select” group of people or demographics. Could we come up with something that would work as it was envisioned by our Forefathers? I’m not sure but I know they didn’t envision this mess.

Maybe it IS time for a REVOLUTION!

What we need, IMHO, is a taxpayer REVOLT. Some, just a few, of us taxpayer's MUST go to Washington DC, when Congress is in session, and do more than voice our opinions. We NEED to make a VISABLE statement. If a million, or two million, showed up in the Mall, our 'dear elected' would notice. But, hey, we 'the taxpayer's' are too busy trying to make ends meet. And because we are too busy we will continue to have our asses kicked. Threaten blacks....they riot. Threaten muslem's....they riot. Threaten a US Taxpayer....they open their wallets, well under protest, but congress critters don't care.

That's political REALITY.

Big congrats to you on actually getting out some of the money you paid into it! Seriously, congrats! I don't take it for granted anymore.

What do we do?

I am surprised at how much talk on this subject I've heard on talk radio over the last few weeks/months. Good or bad, right or wrong, intelligent or misguided.... at least the people are thinking and talking.
