I heard or read somewhere ? ? ? , somebody saying to use empty cereal bags, the frosty ones. Said they were good for storage bags, kept bugs out ??? Seems zip lock would be better. Have any of you heard this ??

They would seal up well using a vac sealer I bet. Actually a good idea using those bags I would think. I will try one at my first opportunity.

I wonder if the pull top cans are safe to stack, over time ——-I mean just one atop another, same size.
That has been a concern. When I’ve gone to Aldi’s, I try to scarf up some of their emptied cut-down boxes and use them to put between cans I store...that works well.

Good idea about putting a layer of cardboard between layers of cans. It also helps with the mess clean-up when a can splits open.

Hmmm good question. replacement leads for my mechanical pencils would be one thing that others may not have on hand.
At school day sales I just buy a handful of the packages of cheesy mechanical pencils, cheap, work okay. There's like 10 pencils in each package, bright colors so you can see them. I get the thickest ones I can find, I bust the leads when writing.

You REALLY have to wonder about insurance fraud.

Are they not overly burdened by the Feds coming in and saying you need to pay more insurance because you’re in a “flood plain” like the little people?
I'm subject to that. 1" of my property is in the 500 yr flood plain, the house is built on a 30' higher mound. No danger at all. Makes me mad.

I tried a bag today. Worked better than a regular seal-a-meal bag. Vacuumed up great and sealed great. Now if I could buy them in quantity.

No batteries, no electricity, but a necessity for those pesky nose hairs when they start tickling the mustache.

Denture re-line kits! Used to be able to get them at Walgreens, but will check at CVS when I go there tomorrow or Wednesday to pick up an Rx.

Don't want the teeth chattering and I would like to be able to eat ya know?

I thought the subject was "oldest" preps. I've got some pre-Y2K MRE entrees. Not sure why I haven't dumped those in the trash lol.

I have cans of B&M Brown Bread from 1998. I ate some last week and it was OK. I'm still alive. The bread looked and smelled fine. The taste was still good but a very slight can flavor. I was impressed! I've eaten brown bread since I was a child and I really like it. It has an awesome shelf life. 22 years ain't bad!
