My mom, 2 years ago, was lying in a hallway on a gurney for 2 days before a room opened up, during flu outbreak. Last year when covid was “keeping the hospitals full”, they put her on a covid hall because there was no staff on a regular hall. The covid hall had the staff to take care of her. They had the 4th floor completely shut down because as a nurse told me, “it wasn’t what they told us it would be.” This was when the news was constantly telling us how full the hospitals were. Yeah, because 1/4 of their beds were unstaffed because they had no patients. This hospital was covid central. At their peak, they had three HALLS, not floors, halls for covid patients. My mom was in June 2020 for two weeks, July 2020, for a week, August 2020 for two weeks. They were down to one covid hall, and half of them were not covid cases. One nurse that took care of my mom was laid off for 5 months because they didn’t need her.
I know two RN’s that work in hospitals. They say they ARE busy now because of the elective surgeries put off last year. They are still playing catch up. Not to mention there is a nationwide nursing shortage. They can’t open all the beds because they don’t have nurses to staff them.
It’s smoke and mirrors.

Yes. Just like - IMHO - there is no real Covid vax. Too many reports of vaxed people getting infected, on top of all of the reports of the vaxes doing actual harm to patients. I see the vaxes as a form of Russian Roulette with likely permanent harm even, if you don't die. Perhaps not taking the vax is Russian Roulette too, but I doubt it.

A double-blind Israeli study has concluded that Ivermectin, an inexpensive anti-parasitic widely used since 1981, reduces both the duration and infectiousness of Covid-19, according to the Jerusalem Post.
The study, conducted by Prof. Eli Schwartz, founder of the Center for Travel Medicine and Tropical Disease at Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer, looked at some 89 eligible volunteers over the age of 18 who had tested positive for coronavirus, and were living in state-run Covid-19 hotels. After being divided into two groups, 50% received ivermectin, and 50% received a placebo. Each patient was given the drug for three days in a row, an hour before eating.
83% of participants were symptomatic at recruitment. 13.5% of patients had comorbidities of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, hypertension or cancer. The median age of the patients was 35, ranging from 20 to 71-years-old.
Results
Treatment was discontinued on the third day, and patients were monitored every two days thereafter. By day six, 72% of those treated with ivermectin tested negative for the virus, vs. 50% of those who received the placebo. Meanwhile, just 13% of ivermectin patients were able to infect others after six days compared to 50% of the placebo group - nearly four times as many.
Hospitalizations
Three patients in the placebo group were admitted to hospitals for respiratory symptoms, while one ivermectin patient was hospitalized for shortness of breath the day the study began - only to be discharged a day later and "sent back to the hotel in good condition," according to the study.
"Our study shows first and foremost that ivermectin has antiviral activity," said Schwartz, adding "It also shows that there is almost a 100% chance that a person will be noninfectious in four to six days, which could lead to shortening isolation time for these people. This could have a huge economic and social impact."
The study, which appeared on the MedRxiv preprint server and has not yet been peer-reviewed. That said, Schwartz pointed out that similar studies - 'though not all of them conducted to the same double-blind and placebo standards as his' - also showed favorable results for the drug.
Ivermectin is incredibly cheap due to its widespread use across the world to treat malaria, scabies, lice and other parasitic infections. In Bangladesh, the cost of ivermectin is around $0.60 to $1.80 for a five-day course, according to the report. In Israel, it costs up to $10 per day.
While Schwartz's study showed efficacy among those who had already tested positive, it didn't determine whether ivermectin is an effective prophylactic which could prevent one from contracting Covid-19, nor does it show whether it reduces chances of hospitalization - however Schwartz noted that other studies have shown such evidence.
Mere discussion of the drug has resulted in big-tech censoring or deplatforming thought leaders in collaboration with the Biden administration.
Meanwhile, Merck Co. - which manufactured the drug in the 1980s, has come out big against the use of ivermectin to treat Covid-19. In February, the company's website read: "Company scientists continue to carefully examine the findings of all available and emerging studies of Ivermectin for the treatment of COVID-19 for evidence of efficacy and safety. It is important to note that, to date, our analysis has identified no scientific basis for a potential therapeutic effect against COVID-19 from pre-clinical studies; no meaningful evidence for clinical activity or clinical efficacy in patients with COVID-19 disease, and a concerning lack of safety data in the majority of studies."
As the Post points out - Merck has not launched a single study of its own on ivermectin.

My son and daughter who work in different hospitals say that everyone is running to the hospitals because (1) they are scared, and (2) doctors are booked out or only doing phone visits. People don't want to wait so they run to the hospital ERs. Few are being admitted though there are a lot of cases that are positives. Many of those positives already have taken "the jab". It is the same patients as before ... those with comorbidities including age, etc. Yes, younger gens are getting it now but few are hospital admits but are sent home.
My daughter says that her coworkers say that they've seen worse flu seasons but not worse fear seasons. (medical humor)
I expect we will all get it or be exposed to it eventually. Just like anything else, take care of your own health needs/risks and don't expect someone to protect you because the reality is they can't. You can only take care of yourself in the end. This stuff is real. For some people deadly. But the actual deaths aren't being reported or compared in percentages. They are using fear to play mindgames and destroy this country and the word so they can bring on only God knows what.

I can personally vouch for the (2) doctors are booked out or only doing phone visits.
Tried to book a follow up with my primary doctor for late July back in April. Was told they can't do that as they only schedule Doctors visits 90 days out. They said they would send me a reminder to book the follow up. When I got it, it came snail mail (3 days from post date) on a Saturday. I called first thing Monday morning and was told that she was booked up for the next 90 days already and I'd have to wait for another notice. Couldn't even get in to see her PA's as they were also booked out through the 90-days.
Talked with all kinds of people who are having this same issue. Now with the COVID kicking up I fear we'll go back to can't see a Doctor unless you go through the ER (at a $375 extra charge out of pocket).
One daughter is a PA at the same hospital/clinic and her Doctor and the rest of the PA's are all booked solid as well.

When I worked in the ICU, it was frequently commented on that you could expect Flu season to kick in right after Thanksgiving. At least in our part of the world which was the high-deserts of the west. Because of people travelling, and because of the way people over eat and/or over inbibe at that time of the year (thus trashing their own immune systems) it was like clockwork. Then it raged through the winter, and early spring. Quite rare this time of the year, which is why I'm not CURRENTLY buying that this latest upswing is Flu. It might be vaccine, it might be spraying, it might be chemtrails: Heck it might even be in the water, but it ain't flu.
I will edit, however, with one thought. IF your own immune system DID get completely trashed, by . . . oh . . . a Vax, or staying completely isolated in your house for the last year and a half, well then, maybe you COULD get a decent Flu epidemic going in the middle of summer. So, I will allow that to be one unlikely but not impossible scenario.

Sis in central Florida is now sick. Very weak. She has her son who is severely handicapped and needs total care. No help. Ask for prayers. No she didn't get the shot or her son. But others close to her did.
She and her son have my prayers, WanderLore.
Because that how democrats think.
This is why I got the jab. I am the sole caretaker of my two dogs. If I go into the hospital or die, they die too. I weighed the risks against the potential consequences of getting the jab, and I got it. Sounds like your sister didn’t engage in that mental exercise. Bummer.

He is not allowed to even get a flu shot because in the past he always progressed to pneumonia, which is life threatening to him. She has them both on a protocol and for years they have been pretty healthy despite Addisons crisis occasionally.
