CORONA Well, I just gave my notice as I'm not taking the jab.

No way in hell was I capitulating to the jab. F them. Oddly, in a very surprising move, they extended the flu shot requirement to Nov 5th. It was also due today. I think they're feeling the heat. Boss said a few days ago only 50% of staff had the flu shot, which is unusual. Wondering if that same group is also not taking the jab and therefore no sense in taking the unwanted flu shot.

My resignation was immediate. I emailed it in. F them. Changing careers, etc so not worried about them as a reference or whatever. They're simply an ink stain on the resume now.

New training school starts Monday for 4 weeks, should be in orientation with the new company just after Thanksgiving and working 3 weeks after that (I get paid for orientation).

Glad it's over, hated what they put me and the family through since announcing the jab requirement. Sadly, very little time to decompress, just this weekend and then school, but it'll take my focus from the old job. The new career is completely different than the old so I'm looking forward to that.

Can I ask a question here?

Everything I've heard and read said that if you work for a company with over 100 people you must be vaccinated or else be "subject to a weekly covid testing" ........it doesn't say you have to be fired or must resign...............

Of course how legit is the weekly testing another thing..........but technically could you not continue to work if you are willing to put up with the inconvenience of weekly covid testing (and fingers crossed keep testing negative each week).

Am I missing something here?...................

Send them a formal certified letter requesting the names of all parties responsible for the decision to mandate. You obviously were "forced" to make a decision under "duress" and "looking" to join a class action lawsuit. Sounds scary doesn't it? Not a lawyer and this wasn't advice, just read it on another forum.

I was told in my situation as a supplier to military that testing was not an option.
I have also read that employers can make employees pay for the tests which probably won’t be cheap by design.

If you have another job lined up, quitting makes sense. I respect your choice either way.
For those who don’t, make them fire you. Be ready to call their bluff.

I do. Training and then work. Getting my CDL so jobs aren't going to be an issue. Already basically hooked up with a good company.

Like the movie line says....I don't do anything without a plan. No, I'm not Russian. ;)

They can threaten us with termination from work, denial of earned benefits etc if we dont take a highly suspect (never ending) series of injections...

But....

If we retort with " hows about I ventilate your cranium for threatening MY life and livelihood...?"

They get all uppity and call the police, who actually will arrest and have us charged with a Capitol crime.

Pretty simple from where I sit.

Time to sack up.

Our forefathers and ancesters are watching.

So is the most high.

Driving a tractor trailer is an experience.

Remember:
get the shifting and backing down(practice),

always be aware of that warehouse you are pulling(when in doubt of a turn swing real wide),

and dont fail the pretrip(its nonsense but its necessary to pass the final. Pretrips are necessary to be safe but not over the top like the test is.)

What I heard on tv last night? maybe night before? was that the testing option ends sometime in December. I thought I heard them say that some of the other exemptions will be eliminated too.

I can't remember the date in December. I want to say it was the 19th or the 23rd.
This was all while they were discussing the new OSHA regs that had been submitted to the White House.
Then again, I could have heard it wrong.

I dont know this to be the answer to the question but I think the cost of the weekly testing is to be paid by the person getting tested........

Will the new job require the shot?

A mandate for a experimental rushed "emergency claimed" vaccine that is more of a treatment than a prevention for a flu that is more like the cold for most..........that threatens the livelihood of potentially millions?

And the government was scared of the Jan 6th shindig?

Pray tell what happens when people exercise the right to refuse an unproven symptom reduction only claim from such a jab and they can't put food on their table or hold a roof over their head?

At that point what is the bigger threat to peoples lives then?..........this covid virus??..........or not having anything to eat or place to go?

How far can the government push people until they say enough..........you work for us assholes!!!

and then if those without work have nothing to lose they take things into their own hands??

This is absurb.........you don't get a jag........you can't work.

Or is the next move for them to say.........."hey unemployed.........universal income....welcome to the USSA."

Build Back Commie alright..........

We'll see about Social Security getting cut off, soon I'm sure.

Glad I quit them first. One less thing they can hold over my head. They still got me by the pension, but I never planned on that lasting anyway. Have started dipping into the real savings as the time seems to be getting here - just sold the first 'better than money in the bank' 10 years ago rifle last week. And spent the money :D

If I was still working, I'd be in the same predicament. We'll see about Social Security getting cut off, soon I'm sure.

If they did that, they probably would have to do a lot of the entitlement programs, too. Sure, go after the elderly and the people on entitlement programs and see what happens...I wonder how many SNAP benefits folks haven't gotten their jabs. Cutting off SS and SNAP benefits would be a game changer, I think, and the push-back would be enormous...that might be the straw that breaks the camel's back for most people. I think the Administration would light a fire that they could not put out.

It could be epic.
