He needs to get checked out! He may need a stronger probiotic, but he could also have other issues, from parasites to more serious issues. But he's risking malnutrition and dehydration if he let's it go for long...Church had Thanksgiving lunch after service. I only took about a tablespoon or less of several things and had a huge plate of food. And I did get dessert. I couldn't eat it all so I brought what was left on my plate home. Way too much food. I've been thinking about going to my cousins for TD, but just can't face that amount of food again, so we'll probably stay home and eat what ever I put together. Baptists eat too much.
The sun was shinning today, after several days of gray skys. Rain is predicted for tomorrow.
DH is having an issue with his food running through him, every time he eats. He takes pills for it but that makes the problem the opposite. He's getting very frusterated about it, thinks he's dying. He did take an antiobiotic when he had his eye lift, but swears he was taking a probiotic too. Refuses to eat yogurt.
Nomifyle, have you heard the story about the kids who were studying religion in school and were asked to bring something to class that signified their religion such as a cross or a menorah. The Baptist boy brought a casserole.
We are doing the same but it's all good. Their family is even smaller than ours and we like them pretty well... that is oldest DS.Good morning, Judy and All.
I'm sure it's going to be a busy week for everyone. Lots of cooking. I'm preparing a nice Thanksgiving meal just for Cary and myself on Tuesday. We'll be going to DS's house for Thanksgiving with all of DDIL's family. It is what it is.....
Other than a lot of cooking this week, more cleaning, sorting, and discarding are in my plans.
We are doing the same but it's all good. Their family is even smaller than ours and we like them pretty well... that is oldest DS.
Youngest DS, who is only a couple miles down the road, will be having it at his house His in-laws have been there for an extended time because a house purchase fell through literally the day they were suppose to move in and since their house had sold and the new owners were moving in the next day, they had no where to go.
It's all worked out great...I'm cooking a few pies and that is it! I usually end up cooking it all and cleaning too, thenn I'm exhausted and swearing I will never do it again.
To be honest, I'm just relieved. My business is hopping this time of year and it's been such a stressful year that I couldn't take getting this place company ready and then doing all the cooking. We have a small house. Not enough room for everyone anymore, since DDIL's family has grown in size. It was once just her mother. Now it's also her sister and new husband plus his mother. It will be a first time meet with them. DS has a huge house, so it works well for everyone. DDIL's sister wants to host our Christmas meal, so I get off light this year. I don't even know where she lives. Somewhere in the small town we do our shopping in, though.
I'm not stressing over the holidays. I was told what to bring for our Thanksgiving meal and will be told what to bring for the Christmas meal. They are all furnishing the rest.
I should have had more kids...have pawned off all I can on my two sons and their wives lol. I'm looking at the grands and wondering what they will want if we live long enough to get them grown. This will be our last Thanksgiving in family home. It's huge. Fixing 3 toilets today. Joy. Moving all the tubs I have filled to somewhere other than the kitchen. Friend warned me that when I get all the extra stuff out and the new floor in I am likely to be tempted to stay. Until I think about cleaning and upkeep.
I am cooking the ham and the potatoes. Kids are bringing the rest. Some will be there for lunch. The rest will come and go throughout the day. Lots of leaves but too wet for the little ones to play in them. We usually have a huge pile raked and ready for jumping into.
Boxing more of the jars today. The boxes I found are working great for quarts and smaller. Easy to fill and easy to move. Someone gave me 4 contractor size trash bags full of clean, folded moving paper. It is really coming in handy with jars and keepsakes. Hoping to see more stuff leave the house with the kids and grands.
Cold and rainy out. It will be chicken and dumplings for a quick lunch break. Need to have all of the water issues addressed before Thanksgiving. Will probably bring MIL from nursing home. Expect her to want to return after an hour. She will fuss over grands then forget she ever saw them. Sigh.
Praying everyone has a blessed week.
Commodity pick up today, no telling what they will give us.
I've got a going grocery list at wm, but will hold off on it, don't really need anything, but some things are nice to have.
The sun is shinning but we are supposed to get strong storms in a couple of hours.
We are going to the VA tomorrow for DH's issue.
Another one about Baptists . Someone asked a Baptist how you join a Baptist Church. The person said, “ Trust in Jesus as your Savior and own a 13 by 9 casserole dish.”Nomifyle, have you heard the story about the kids who were studying religion in school and were asked to bring something to class that signified their religion such as a cross or a menorah. SouthernBreeze, I sure wish I could have dinner with you and Cary this evening. Your meal sounds delicious!I'm finally getting to take a break. Back is hurting. Turkey is ready for the oven. I finished the chicken and dressing. It's in a casserole dish ready for the oven. I just pulled a homemade apple pie from the oven. That will be dessert, warmed, with vanilla ice cream. I still have green beans, potatoes, and dinner rolls to do, but that will come much later.
Tomorrow will almost be a repeat of today. I have a pumpkin and a pecan pie to bake, about 50 deviled eggs to make, and another batch of dinner rolls. Those are for Thursday.
