Whew - taking a break to cool off and chug some fluids after being out putting down mulch, raking, and doing the trim mowing with a push mower this morning. I've taken to freezing both plain lemon juice and lemonade in ice cube trays - that way my drinks don't get diluted too much while I am working outside!
Daughter and grandsons spent the night last night, and are now off to her Dad's house after a Father's Day breakfast with us this morning - bacon, cinnamon rolls, coffee and oj. Hubby and I our leftover pasta that we carried home from dinner last night to have for our lunch today; not sure what supper will consist of but hopefully not anything heavy - maybe tuna sandwiches or something like that.
I'm going to go out in a bit and get the rest of the yard mowed while Hubby picks cherries - without youngest grandsons 'help' this time Then I have just a small amount of tilling to be done in one 8x14 spot. I've got quite a bit of weeding that needs done in the garden but it is still too wet to walk in most of the area. I have plenty of weeding to do elsewhere, but the heat index is supposed to be up to 108*F by noon so I'm thinking we will pit and freeze cherries this afternoon instead (and maybe catch a nap!
My last order of silver coins was dropped off at Buddy's house this morning; he might stop by here late this afternoon on his way home from a family gathering to drop them off; otherwise I'll pick them up tomorrow when I'm in town - be good to have them on hand for the upcoming July birthdays
I anticipate being busy most of the day tomorrow with daughter as she is having minor surgery; the boys will be with the other grandma, and Hubby has a doctor's appointment and then is going shooting with some friends.
Back to work Tuesday and Wednesday so I'm hoping to con Hubby into fixing unstuffed cabbage rolls and a big pan of honey cornbread for supper tomorrow so that I have something to carry in my lunch on those days
Well, I'm cooled down and my glass has managed to turn up empty for the second time, so I reckon it's time to get back to work...
Take care all; wishing you all a blessed week!
