Has No Life - Lives on TB
I went to check on the root cellar which I do every few days just because it is new to us. The temps had been cold for us just as for many of you and now it is in the 60's with lots of rain. Rain and the root cellar has not been a problem in the past but everything was damp this morning and we think it is because the vegetables are sweating. Haven't lost anything and at present we have a fan on everything so we don't lose any thing but I guess we need to go back to the drawing board maybe insulating more? I am unsure but hubs has a plan! He is presently adding a can light or 2 to my cooking area. I need lots of light!
I ordered some pretty cool cup hangers for inside the cabinet. The cool part is they just slip on the shelf. Sure did free up and tidy up the space for me! I have lots of bulbs to plant and it is time in my area but it has been raining since about 10p last night so I have pushed that task off.
Dreaming of a beautiful bountiful garden!
Sweating root cellars and basements, plus the ground shifting are the number two reason folks here in the South don't have them. Even the inground storm shelters have to keep the doors open when not in use, so they won't sweat. The people that have plenty of money to spend on them down here, have lots of added worked done in order for them to have one. I pray yours works out well for ya'll.
