Has No Life - Lives on TB
While a lot of folks are experiencing snow storms, we are getting flooding rain. Last night, DH was putting more wood into our stove, he felt a drop of water hit him on the back of his head. Yep, we sprung a leak in our metal roof! He has to wait, until it dries out a bit, before he can get up there to see what's going on. Nothing major, we hope!

I'm finally done with all my Christmas shopping for the year. Went to Sam's and loaded everyone up on food and stock goods this year. I even bought a few bargains for myself.

Also, I finally got my new partial dentures! I have been having a lot of dental work done. I wanted all of it out of the way, before anything goes "south". They fit great after my dentist did a little tweaking on them. DH has promised me a night out with steak on the menu now that I can eat/chew again, LOL! I haven't been able to chew much without any molars.

We are going through old preps and tossing some stuff. Some hot chocolate mix had gone bad, some old cans are rusting through the bottom, etc. We had really stocked up in 2008 when it looked like things were going downhill fast and we just didn't use up all those preps. Time to get rid of them and refill. Today I bought 2 more 4 lb boxes of salt and 2 4 lb bags of sugar (neither goes bad). I also bought some fresh hot chocolate mix.

Coupons still are terrible, but I have been getting some great offers. On Black Friday we ordered underwear from Walmart at less than half the normal price. Yesterday I ordered some dress pants at 60% off with free shipping. Today I ordered 4 bras at 60% off with free shipping and at another vendor I ordered a quarter zip fleece jacket (lightweight). With the $25 giftcard they send me in the mail, I only paid $7.99 for shipping and got the jacket for free. These were all things I was planning on getting sometime soon anyway, and to get them at such a discount has been a real blessing.

Added a couple of cases of cream style soups and one of chicken noodle soup (for colds) to the pantry over this past week, using a combo of sales (69 - 88 cents/can) and coupons (40 cents off 4). Lots of call-ins due to illness at work so I am staying as far away from everyone as I can and using the cleaning wipes and hand sanitizer liberally in addition to the usual hand washing while I'm there.

I've been scoping the sales for clothes for the boys - both have shot up in height but are still skinny so online is my best bet for slim sizes - no replies to the request I put on our local online garage sale site for said sizes..
