Good Morning, All! It's another beautiful morning on the farm here - clear and cool for now; with temps only getting up into the low 80's per the forecast. The grand-dog has been out already, grandson and his pal are still crashed out, and I've got a steaming hot cup of coffee in front of me - what more could I ask for?!
The kids have requested French Toast for breakfast, so I've got the fixings for that prepped and ready to go once they wake up. I'll have to run them home around 11 so that I can catch a nap before work - it's a Sunday, Monday, Thursday work week. I plan to plop the bag of beans I picked last night in Hubby's lap on my way to take my nap - he's planning to watch a race so he can snap them; then when I get up from my pre-work nap I'll get them in the jars and he can babysit the pressure canner while I get ready and then head out for work. I'm going to take most of the tomatoes I picked last night to daughter; she can pass them out to whoever she thinks might want them - I know I'm not going to do anything with them for the next few days, and by then there will be more to deal with - along with more beans - when I wake up from my post-work nap on Tuesday. Friday is our nearby small town's annual festival and some darn fool (cough, cough) signed me up to bring a few pies, so I will either have to stay up and bake them after I get off work or trust myself to actually get up when the alarm goes off and bake them then.
Well, I hear short people stirring around; guess that's my cue to gulp the rest of this cup of coffee and get ready to feed the masses
Take care all; stay safe out there!
