Good Morning, All!

Two of the grandkids got dropped off just after lunch yesterday; picked up the third one after she arrived home from her track meet last evening. It's a beautiful sunny day outside - a little chilly still at 46*F but predicted to reach 70*F so I'm hoping that we will be able to spend a lot of time out in the yard before I run them home late this afternoon. Notice I didn't say "get a lot done..." I'll save worrying about productivity for tomorrow, and just enjoy having them underfoot today - though we will have a lesson (or ten) on 'Recognizing poison ivy and staying away from it' - daughter didn't get my immunity to it, poor thing; and sadly passed that lack of immunity down to the boys as well.

Lots of plans for the upcoming week - I so need to get onions, beets, carrots and Irish potatoes planted today, plus possibly get some herbs set out in the old and new herb gardens. Supply wise, I plan to pick up a case each of pineapple and mandarin oranges when I take the kids home this afternoon.

We have a small pile of sticks from the yard that need to be burned in the fire ring; will try to get that done tomorrow while Hubby and I are both off work; and I'll probably take the opportunity to burn some old financial papers at the same time. If it dries up enough, I need to get some tilling done; and I need to carefully weed around the new elderberry sprouts. I've already committed to aqua aerobics tomorrow morning with the neighbor ladies, and have to go out of town for granddaughter's track meet tomorrow afternoon, so will have to find time to get the laundry caught up and at least a little bit of housework done as well.

Looks like everyone is finally finished with breakfast, so I need to shove them into outside clothes and check their rubber boots for spiders so I can get outside!

Take care all; have a wonderful week!

Just finished a 4 day stretch. DH is heading back to work May 1st, and I need to get some quick food items made up. I was hoping to work on the garden, but we're supposed to have rain the rest of the week. So - the plan is to get caught up on laundry, sewing, and food prep at home - and perhaps some painting at the retirement place. This weekend, I"m taking a nutrition class.

Did 4 loads of laundry today, changed the sheets, made a boatload of cabbage pockets, and a cake. Signed up for a class, and put together a package to mail to DD#2. She had called me last night, asking advice about her and her fiance buying a house. "We hate to pay our rent every month, and feel like it's a waste." Smart kiddos - have already saved about $20K (she is 20, and DF is 21). She just made my day!

Copied a bunch of recipes for her and her sister - just need a notebook and page protectors to get it all together for them. I'm itching to get the garden planted, but it's supposed to snow this weekend. And of course, I have a class in the big city this weekend, too.

Looking for the list of 100 items to disappear..... I think it was started by MarkD but I've searched his posts and can't find it. Anyone have a link?
