Couldn't let Renee down! Worked more on the retirement house today - it's getting there. Bought some seed potatoes - hope to get them in the ground this week.

Thanks, Moldy! I checked in last night, but my brain was too depleted to do anything more than read :) The Cerner rollout went as expected - one glitch after another, instructions in our user manual incorrect/at odds with what we were taught, power plans not complete, tasks not flowing, meds not flowing to pyxis, pyxis totally messed up - prns were showing as scheduled, scheduled not showing up unless you searched for them, pharmacy system crash, care notes not printing, the name Cerner defaulting in where the facility name should go, discharge instructions printing wrong, printers not synced, wrong size chart lables, you name it.... And then some dummy who was obviously high on donuts and caffeine offered to come in on Tuesday if they needed extra help :p I still haven't done an admission or discharge by myself; the super-user worked one on one with the other nurses on their admits & d/c's while I passed their meds, placated the MD (restraints were beginning to sound like an option LOL!), and generally put out fires. We managed to get a few cheat sheets made up on other processes, so maybe there will be cheat sheets made up on dc/admit by the time I go back :)

Today in April, I plan to go to aqua aerobics and breakfast with the neighbor ladies, then - if it's not storming - Hubby and I plan to load the grandsons' outgrown Little Tykes log cabin playhouse (which was a hand-me-down from 2nd cousins who are my daughter's age) in the truck and carry it over to his sister's house for HER grandson to use. Then I guess we are going to shop for a new washer and dryer; he won that skirmish - but I figure the battle isn't over until he lays his eyes on the price so we'll see what happens. I have a secret weapon - the Rural King ad has a Ruger AR-15 on sale with rebate; on Saturday, Hubby took my Ruger Mini-14 to use in the carbine match held after the IDPA match, and now he wants an EBR like the rest of the guys had - even though he shot well in the top half of participants with my Mini. He told me that they named it 'Boomer' I figure the difference in price between a new washer/dryer set and a used one might just pay for the AR-15 at Rural King...

The admissions aren't too bad, especially if the ER or admitting unit helps out with the med rec. Not sure about the discharges, as I work in the ER and ours are completely different. If you are one of those really nice nurses that takes verbal orders and puts them in - it's gonna be hard. The docs are expected to put in (IIRC) 85% of their own orders, and they do rebel against that. Don't do restraints - too much paperwork. Tripping with an uncapped syringe of haldol, though.... just a thought!!

Working on random things today - put some jars from an old cellar (think I wrote about it much earlier - like january!) in vinegar to soak. They are taking up way too much room in the canning kitchen. Took a tire into the shop to get it replaced, and poor DH had to put the spare on (I swear I couldn't find it, but he said it was right beside the truck). Getting the last of the pumpkin cooked/pureed/dried. I should be good enough that all the pumpkins grown this year can be sold. Took care of some bank stuff this am. Need to go work on some outside stuff before the rain/snow sets in.

That sacrifice is defining who you are Renee, well done. He is a lucky man

Bought tomato plants, lavendar and a hibiscus plant, we'll get them in the ground tomorrow. We planted some asparagus plants last year, they have multiplied a little bit, one looked like it could be eaten but I clipped them all down and tossed them to the goats.

Mostly haven't done anything else but what is necessary, just can't get motivated. Although I have been doing my inversion table twice a day, no more hip or sciatic pain.

Don't give me too much credit, Ractivist - Mostly, I'm just cheap. The washer I'm using now has a current cost out of 89 cents/month of use - a new one would have to last me 42 years to beat that, and I don't plan on being around THAT long :) And it very well could be that I'm just trying to make sure that my Mini doesn't become HIS Mini  I've traded in only one firearm in my life; he doesn't seem to have much of an attachment to his. He had an LCR, I decided that I really didn't like the laser on my Bodyguard and wanted to try his LCR instead - he'd traded it off. I did end up trading the Smith in on an LCR - making sure he didn't want to keep it first, of course. Month or so later, I went to get the LCR so I could practice - it wasn't where it was supposed to be, and when I started looking, I couldn't find it. Called him in a mild panic; he was using it for his cc. "MINE!" I said... (There may have been a little foot stomping and pointing involved...)

We didn't end up getting an AR - or a washer/dryer set either one on Monday. We're still arguing about the appliances, and he's looking for an AR lower to do a build with - something about a different barrel and gas suppression or something like that; but you can bet that he's clear on that while he can use the Mini, it'd better come back home!
