We made it without any storms last night. Thank God for that blessing! It rained and rained a lot. It's still raining this morning, and we are under a flood watch all day. More rain coming for the next several days, too. Temps are back into the 60's for daytime highs. 49 for our low tonight. Gardening is just going to have to wait a while longer. At this rate of rainfall, the soil is never going to dry out enough to work the raised beds or get the tiller in the garden. Hopefully, soon the spigot will get turned off, and everything will get a chance to dry out.
I forgot to lay out the ground beef to thaw overnight, so no canning will get done, today. I also forgot to wash the canning jars. I'll get those washed, today. I have to wash them by hand, and it takes me a while to do all of them. I've just had too much on my mind, and it's making me forgetful. I need to start making me a list.
Dental surgery Wednesday afternoon, but I'm ready for it. As I was brushing my teeth this morning, I broke one of the teeth off below the gumline. Ouch! It's one that he was going to dig out anyway, except, before this morning I still had a bit of the tooth left. The tooth right beside it is already broken even with the gumline. This will be the last of the surgeries, though, and I'll be glad when it's over. I won't have a single molar left when he's done. I had all my wisdom teeth surgically removed years ago. Now, I just hope and pray that I can keep all of my front teeth. I really don't want dentures, but if they start breaking, I'll have no choice.
DS and DDIL surprised us by inviting us out to supper Saturday for our Easter meal, yesterday. We don't usually make a big deal out of traditional Easter, but it's something they wanted to do, so we said, yes.
