Disease X could lead to civil unrest and food shortages if it isn't properly dealt with, experts have warned. Earlier this week, the UK announced it had started developing vaccines to treat Disease X as fears grow around the world. Disease X is the term used to describe a virus which has the potential to cause severe disruption such as a pandemic.

Scientists have now started developing treatments for several viruses which could cause the same level of disruption as COVID-19.
Despite their preparation, Disease X could still wreak devastation if it isn't properly contained. Our sister title Express.co.uk has been speaking to Dr Veronika Matutyte about what could happen if the disease struck today.

Dr Matutyte said that if Disease X struck now, the disruption would be severe and hit all areas of life. She said: "If Disease X were to strike now, the initial impact would be a sense of uncertainty and panic. "We'd witness a global race to understand its transmission, effects, and potential treatments. From a health perspective, the initial cases might overwhelm health systems, particularly if Disease X proves to be highly contagious or especially severe." As well as overwhelming the health services, Disease X could lead to violence in the streets.

Dr Matutyte explained: "Picture a world where hospitals are inundated, where every cough from a stranger raises alarm, and where nations shutter their borders in a desperate attempt to prevent the spread. "This might lead to societal disruptions, shortages of essential goods, and even civil unrest in certain areas." She added: "In such dire straits, misinformation could run rampant, stoking fears and potentially hindering effective responses."

The world's potential response to another Covid-esque pandemic is under question. Dr Matutyte gave her verdict on the UK's position, which could give an insight into how other countries could react.

Dr Matutyte said: "The age-old question of preparedness! The UK, like many developed nations, boasts robust healthcare systems and scientific research capabilities.

"In recent memory, the UK's response to the COVID-19 pandemic was a testament to its adaptability and resilience, rolling out vaccinations at an impressive speed. "That said, no nation can be wholly prepared for the unknown. The initial response might be slow, but based on past performance and the lessons learned from previous health crises, the UK would likely accelerate its countermeasures quickly."

Part of the reason why the UK has opened up a lab developing treatments for Disease X is so it can respond quickly to another pandemic. Chief executive of the UKHSA, Professor Dame Jenny Harries, told Express.co.uk: "What we're trying to do now is capture that really excellent work from Covid and make sure we're using that as we go forward for any new pandemic threats. "What we try to do here is keep an eye on the ones that we do know. "For example, with Covid, we are still here testing all the new variants with the vaccines that have been provided to check they are still effective.
"But we are also looking at how quickly we can develop a new test that would be used if a brand new virus popped up somewhere."

BFC- IMO, this is nothing more than conditioning of the masses (Brain Washing) to get us used to the idea of more government shutdowns and MORE SHOTS.

Oh No! DISEASE X!!!

{Here it comes in 3-2-1......} **Cough!**

What to know about the dominant Covid-19 EG.5 variant, nicknamed ‘Eris’
The new coronavirus strain, while fast-spreading, does not appear to cause significant illness.

A fast-spreading new subvariant of the coronavirus that causes Covid-19 — nicknamed “Eris” by health watchers but formally known as EG.5 — recently became the most prevalent strain in the country, according to recent official estimates, though it does not appear to cause significant illness or pose immediate danger.

According to a CDC estimate from Saturday, the EG.5 variant makes up approximately 17 percent of all Covid cases in the U.S., making it the most dominant strain of the disease. That number is an increase from the roughly 12 percent share of EG.5-variant cases among all strains in a July 22 calculation. The variant has also been reported in several countries.

The dangers from Covid have sharply declined with vaccinations, but new variants have continued to arise. The EG.5 variant exists under the Omicron family of strains that began circulating in late 2021 and has since birthed several mutations.

New variant does not currently prompt concern
Medical experts have said that EG.5 does not seem to cause more severe illness than previous strains of the coronavirus, and no figures from the White House or Capitol Hill have issued strong statements on the matter.

“At this time, there is no evidence indicating EG.5 is able to spread more easily, and currently available treatments and vaccines are expected to continue to be effective against this variant,” a CDC spokesperson told POLITICO.

The World Health Organization has begun tracking EG.5, but has not labeled it as a variant of interest or concern. In comparison, the XBB.1.5 strain, which previously dominated transmission in the U.S., is listed as a variant of interest.

Globally, hospitalizations from Covid have generally declined since the beginning of the year.

Although hospitalizations from the coronavirus have risen slightly over the summer in the U.S., the Biden administration has continued to express optimism about beating the pandemic. It has ended the public health emergency, and the White House Covid czar left earlier this summer.

“The Biden-Harris Administration has made historic progress on our nation’s ability to manage COVID-19 so that it no longer meaningfully disrupts the way we live our lives,” White House spokesperson Kelly Scully previously told POLITICO by email.

What are the symptoms of Eris?
The symptoms from the EG.5 variant are no different from previous variants: typical cold ailments such as sore throat, runny nose, congestion, cough and fever.

Does the public need a new Covid booster vaccine?
Since June, health officials and drug manufacturers have worked toward the development of shots that should also address the EG.5 subvariant, given that it exists in the Omicron family.

The public should be able to start receiving the shots starting in the fall.

“Vaccination continues to be the best way to protect against severe outcomes of Covid-19,” the CDC spokesperson said.

Every year the CDC, Big Pharm looks at how the flue virus has mutated and produces vaccines for the "Most" likely strain of the flue that "May" be infecting folks, for that season. Usually that vaccine is about 30% effective. That's all. The point is, they have very long history of "guessing" about what vaccine to produce. So the fact they are working on a vaccine right now is not that unusual.
Just remember and embrace this fact, they want us dead.

They will beg to comply. Especially if they release something with a 20% or higher kill rate.

Once it becomes clear that 1. This isn't COVID and 2. This is a lot more dangerous than COVID, even diehard liberty-loving preppers will pull their holes in after them.

so they are creating a vaccine and a test for detection for a viral possible outbreak.

No clue what it is yet, hence the name X.

What a bunch of BS, how can you remotely prepare for something that you don't know what it is, which means they do know what X is and X is waiting in the wings ready for them to release X when they have all their stuff in place...right before elections 2024.
