He MIGHT have Probable Cause to EXECUTE some of them but what he LACKS is not balls, but STATUTORY intervention options.

Now he COULD declare this whole enchilada an Insurrection and go from THERE with reasonably hardened Marines and a few Pathfinders and Rangers just for leavening, but UNTIL HE MAKES THAT DECLARATION and bounces both the mayor AND GOVERNOR out into their respective streets his hands are pretty well shackled.

I'm thinking I'd advise the Boss to pick a specific time (like 8PM EDT) and have a loose Pacific-based MEU(SOC) marine group be INSIDE the Fed buildings with their armor and Helo components just down the street so that when he READS the Riot Act (Insurection Act) and he IMMEDIATELY CALLS the Marines to order, they just swarm out of the FED building and the armor and Helos appear, right on cue, and NO ROEs.

YES Alois Hammer can make that happen in fiction ESP w/ Dave Drake writing). This ain't fiction. But I'd give a mortgage payment to see 2-STAR fixing a BUNCH of INSURGENTS.

If true, about the "500" Armed Liberals, then Trump failing to directly intervene with armed troops would be subject to impeachment. It also puts me in a weird position of dealing with armed domestic terrorists for which I have a BLOOD OATH to resist with lethal armed force. Trump, well AGAIN this is on him. People are watching this, the so called "right wing" types. So, what happens when 500 of THEM show up with their AR-15's?
We are right on the edge here of a firefight here in downtown. Aside from the normal crazies, we now, apparently, are going to have the Marxist death squads they are famous for. After what they did in Seattle yesterday, it is likely we will have mobs, possibly armed, rampaging through downtown. I will be in my apartment building lobby, ready to use lethal force.
So you see how Trump has, well he is too late now and I assure you if ANY of the above happens itbwill be a new dawn in America, months before the election. :conf:

I mean, they're still looking at Impeachment 2.0 as a possibility. THIS, despite their positive vote on the funding COULD be to encourage him to "take the bait."

Were I Trump, I would stick to protection of Federal Property. Leave the cities to fall to rack & ruin around them. AND - let the Mayors/Governors/whatever ASK (with a "pretty please") for more Federal Oats to set their self created mess right.

I went down there around 4 and the filth is incredible. The feds had parts of the fence up, at least, but I stayed clear. I was pissed they trashed the frontier family statue.
