Today we heard that one of our three Walmart's within 15 miles announced that they would be closing. I thought this would be a waste of time but the wife wanted to see if she could pick up some craft items that she only buys from Walmart. Once we got near the store, the traffic started backing up and when we finally pulled in the parking lot, there was no parking spaces available. A line of people with carts stretched around the building as they were limiting the number of people in the store. This somewhat surprised me as they were only discounting 25% off but we just went through 99cent store closing down and they stripped it to the bones in a matter of hours for only 10 to 30% off. Why people are going in a shark feeding frenzy at a store full of madhouse people, for this small of a discount seems odd to me but since I retired, I'm not sensitive to other peoples economic situation and spending drivers. Anyone want to suggest what people would put up with this pain in the ass for a minor gain?
