I have a friend who is in her 80's. She is a good person, but she HATED Trump, and is a hard core democrat. She is totally enamored with Biden and Harris. She is trying to shove it down my throat. I am taking a break right now, because I just can't deal with her attitude. When Trump won in 2016, I made it a point not to even hint at politics in conversation. I expect the same consideration, but apparently, that's not going to happen.

The trades ... one due to the realization how much his taxes are going to increase under Team Biden and the other due to family affected by the pipeline cancellation. The professionals because Team Biden was supposed to "on day one" cancel their student loan debt and now that is in doubt plus their taxes are going to increase.

I'm sure that "buyer's remorse" will increase with time.

I have a line I have already used with a pro-Biden person I both like, and who cannot hurt me (cost me a job or the like). I asked her, "About you liking Biden; what's the appeal? Is it the socialism or the pedophilia?".

I have to take issue with your definition of a "good person." If she is enamored with Biden and Harris, hated Trump and is a "hardcore democrat," she cannot be a good person! I suspect that you are ascribing certain qualities to her because of a surface pleasantness and civility, which is not reflected in her deeper convictions.

Contemporary Democrats are synonymous with socialism, sexual perversion (including pedophilia and homosexuality) and stealing other people's wealth. How does that meet the definition of a good person?

She is easily persuaded that the democrats are the good guys. She tries her best to help others and always has. She was childless, so she dedicated her life to helping children. Even at her age, she takes meals to the sick and even did hospice free for a family member of hers. I've seen her give money to families in need when she could barely make ends meet. She is a good person, but is totally off when it comes to politics. There is no reasoning with her, so I don't try. I make it a rule not to talk politics, except with my husband.

It's hard for some of the elderly to understand that the democrat party of the youth is NOT the democrat party of today. My inlaws were like that before they passed. FIL was even the democrat polling judge at their polling place. But they weren't around to see the 0bama years and I doubt they would even recognize the party of today. And being staunch Catholics, I highly doubt that they would have thought to even looking at the democratic ticket.

Racism (KKK, SPLC, Voting Against Civil Rights)

I don't really know that much US history (in another country) just what I have read. Which I allow may be slanted depending upon the sources I read.
