JUST IN: Violent crime is getting so bad in New York City subways that Gov. Kathy Hochul is deploying 1,000 total National Guardsmen, state police & MTA police to patrol them.

Liberal policies have consequences. 750 members of the National Guard and 250 state troopers will now be checking bags at subway entrances. Just last month, an additional 1000 NYPD officers were ordered to patrol the subways.

NYPD Transit Chief Michael Kemper claims subway arrests are up 45% this year. Hochul is also begging district attorneys to keep repeat offenders out of the subways. Good luck.

I expect some of those streets will burn before the guard gets there. We're seeing reports of "migrant groups" hanging out on minority neighborhood streetcorners, as though they're "waiting for the go-signals"

Summer's gonna be brighter and hotter than we've seen in a while, and that's saying something :hmm:

where's the Mayor's OK? - unless there's an overruling of city authority a governor can't just decide to use NG troops - probably a mutual agreement but the article gives everything to the governor credit .....

notice - still no real complaint of the overriding reasons for the crime wave increase - nothing about the Biden illegals - the crap NY courts - the constant ripping of law enforcement - namby pamby law enforcement - decrease in PD funding $$$$ ...

From all the vids I have seen they mostly just beat people up. Stomp them in group or sucker punch them. What does deadly weapons have to do with it.

This is hilarious to watch. There were two cops and three ranking supervisors. Not sergeants mind you. 4 ng and 2 state troopers. What about the rest of grand central station?

Every major- and presumably many minor- locals are well aware that there is a very real risk of terrorist attacks on venues throughout the nation.

..not just those the alfalfabytes have jinned up to further their causes, either- but real ones.

Still I imagine this is mostly a stunt to clean up invader based crime stats before the elections.... :: shrug ::

If they want to stop these problems. The governor needs to recall the legislature compel them to repeal the silly laws and no bail policies they created. Instruct the da’s to get with the program or fire them and hold new elections. Judges should be held to a new standard of actually enforcing the law, not how they feel.

Sorta works ok until...jihadi Joe smiles and says...oh sure, I will step right over there and let them look through my.....

What they are engaged in is called ...a show of force. It will go on for a couple of weeks and if nothing of note happens they slowly dissapear.


Then....

Something big happens and more rights are taken away.

I figured odds were 60-40 this was about tamping down crime enough to stop being a laughing stock and to get thru election- but there are some very credible threats - Hamas in particular - out there right now, so who knows where the next blow originates, or lands
