I was thinking that restaurants, at least in some areas, may need to hire bouncers.

Problem arises with paying for them, out of their now reduced revenue stream (every OTHER table cannot be occupied - HALF the number of paying customers).

Restaurants and other business owners pay the local political authorities in the form of licensing, taxes, other required payouts, in return for a safe and protected business environment - with capable and willing LEO only moments away, should they be needed.

THIS is not happening in some jurisdictions - and business owners are left to their own devices for a solution.

Funny thing is - the offending local jurisdictions have NOT stopped collecting their "taxes, tags, title" revenues, maintaining an expectation that the business owners will pay in full, as per usual - the local jurisdictions WANT that money coming in from the business owners, want to continue to pay their OWN FULL paychecks, but have reneged on THEIR part of the business deal - no LEO support for the still paying business owners.

There is another set of lawsuits just waiting in the middle of all of this malarky.

Unless and until the perps step onto restaurant property there's not a thing they can do about it.

Disagree - there are many solutions available to a capable and willing political class, if they would only avail themselves of such authority with a determined purpose. They have chosen NOT to straightjacket the rioters "protesters." THAT is a political choice which most certainly works AGAINST the commonweal of the business owners, and citizens, alike.

The politicos are COMPLICIT in the planning and execution of these riots, and should be arrested, jailed and tried, just as we (sometimes) do with the rioters.

No mercy. The politicos KNOWINGLY made their choice to side with evil and costly mayhem.

I am surprised that the insurance companies have not jumped all over this issue - as much payout as it certainly must be costing them - or, is it? Are they, too, (somehow) complicit in this destructive mayhem? Doesn't make much sense, to be sure, at first glance from the insurance industry's perspective, BUT they do NOT seem to be doing anything about what the BAD political decisions must be certainly costing them, in terms of payouts to burned out/destroyed businesses and citizen's property and homes.

Sorry to be truthful. Any "meaningful" response by a senior citizen to this kind of terrorism would end his life either by the anarchists or their judiciary. The mob rules. The victim is a small sacrifice compared to the mob violence and infrastructure destruction in the eyes of the DA and court system. We are truly at the point where there isn't much left to lose. Never heard this before... Everything I've read has German SS saying "Ameri's" were not impressive soldiers ( Up until the Ardennes Offensive ).

Oh I saw it somewhere, might have been a book by General Marshall we had growing up in my dad s library. The idea being in 1942 they thought we were crap, especially after kasserne pass, and by the end of 43 we kicked them out of North Africa, and they didn t understand how the same military could do that. And they never understood how Patton could relieve bastone. Pivot north in a snow storm, go 100 miles north and then engage a separate army? The Germans were amazed when Patton's army did that. Besides' some militaries learn and get better like the US did, and others never do. It really is incredible how efficient the US military got between January of 42 and January of 1945. 3 years from a bunch of yahoos running for their lives to this advancing horde that crushed the Wehrmacht.

I wonder, though, how many of the rioters have done as my oldest granddaughter has done, and disowned most of her family? I honestly think she would be proud to be seen by us in a video like this. In her misguided eyes, it would show us how much better she is than we 'racists' are. And I suspect that these others have similar mindsets. They've separated themselves from their families unless the families agree with them.

Aggressive BLM agitators continued their campaign of harassing white people minding their own business at restaurants Wednesday night, this time taking over a couple’s table at an eatery in St. Petersburg, Florida and threatening them with violence.

The video shows scores of agitators chanting “Stand up, fight back!” outside the restaurant, with several of the troublemakers then deciding to harass the elderly couple.

When the woman told the lead agitator “This is my table”, and attempted to remove him/her/them/it, she was called a “Karen” and told that the protesters would “knock your old-**s boyfriend the f**k out.”

THIS must ALL be publicly vetted, out in the open, where everyone can discuss this problem that you cite - I am thinking about Patty Hearst and the Symbionese Liberation Army (SLA) of the early-mid 1970's, here - resultied in a public scandal, and the Hearst family was "put through the wringer" of the court of popular opinion (long before the MSM would filter out such public outcries).
