I saw that he got his PhD from Stanford in 1980. Apparently some of California's institutions were still relatively sane at that time.

Im not at all familiar with his history, but am I wrong, or was he a liberal years ago…but has since, done an ‘about face?’

My fear is that "our" last chance was 2020
the car is at the edge of the cliff and the drivers have their foot on the accelerator and refuse to hit the brakes
reminds me of the Thelma and Louise ending
now it is just trying to prepare for the fall

At least we can console ourselves with the fact that the collapse won't be our fault, and God will likely be merciful. When "our" "last chance" was outright stolen, there's only so much we could have done.

looks like the market (Dow) is on a nice steady downward slope.....Ill be looking at that from time to time also, that should be some kind of indicator.

It was a period of change, though traditional thought was likely already on the way out.

So I heard from two professors familiar with the environment.

Not the monolithic ideology of today.

Plus, I would assume that VDH had (and has) the mental fortitude to withstand the onslaught of leftist thinking that was breaking through at that time.

That he became a tenured professor in those institutions after that is perhaps the most surprising.

Alot of critical thinkers were educated by the leftists and, as a result, were blue - or purple - in their early years — only to turn red as they matured and began to experience real life.

That, I have to admit, includes me.

Difficult to believe that VDH was educated in California institutions. The late 70s/early 80s must've been a much different time there than now.
It would be like living in an alternate Universe; but that applies to almost everywhere in N.America. Look at Canada today to just 15 years ago.

As he said, "the thin veneer of civilization, once removed, exposes raw human nature." There is no law because the DOJ, FBI and CIA and Executive/Congressional branches of government are lawless. "If the foundations are destroyed, what shall the righteous do?" Psalm 11. There is really only one thing they can do and that is to cry out to the Lord. It's in His hands now...
