Harris posed in front of pink taffeta curtains, standing on them in Converse’s Chuck Taylor sneakers and her usual campaign attire of skinny pants and a black blazer.

“Madame Vice President! Kamala Harris and the New America.”

“By the people, for the people — the United States of Fashion.”

“Vice President-elect [Kamala Harris] is our February cover star,” Vogue announced.

“I always say this: I may be the first to do many things—make sure I’m not the last,” says Vice President-elect @kamalaharris. “I was thinking of my baby nieces, who will only know one world where a woman is vice president of the United States, a woman of color, a Black woman, a woman with parents who were born outside of the United States.”

I busted a gut when I saw the cover the magazine chose ... taken by the first black photographer of Vogue. OMG. ROFLMAO. She was wearing tennis shoes and a pantsuit standing in front of sheers the color of her sorority. No. I'm not kidding. And when I say the pantsuit was not flattering I am so not kidding. She looked like a dark Hillary Clinton ... in slightly better shape and younger but she was like channeling her or something. LOLOLOLOL

What was even better was when Vogue magazine basically told them to pound sand. The magazine gets to choose the photo, not the person who is going to be on the cover. ROFL! Slap down baby. Had to be a hella shot to her ego. She looks like a volleyball coach.

So has anyone dinged her for wearing sneakers made with slave labor under inhuman conditions?

In a statement from the company’s EU website, Converse “take seriously the federal and international efforts to end all kinds of forced labour” and audits each supplier and manufacturer as they’re required to do by law. However, it’s unclear how effective these measures are. Reports show that while Converse pays factory employees the required minimum wage, it’s not a living wage. Sheila Shayon from brandchannel.com reports that “two-thirds of 168 world-wide factories producing Converse products do not meet Nike’s standards for contract manufacturers”. Employees report routine abuse in the workplace in the form of verbal and physical assault. This is a pattern in manufacturing plants in Indonesia, Thailand, and other SE Asian centers of production.

She'll have to take a ding on her "social credits." Not to worry - all wiped clean on January 20.
