HATE Vandal Beheads Statue of Jesus for ‘Wrong Skin Color’

King James. Most reliable version there is. God can get the truth across in any version, but the King James is still top of the heap.
The King James version has God's name (translated to YHVH in English) in the Bible how many times? The original scriptures, in Hebrew and Greek, have God's name written how many times?

Jesus must have had darker skin, because in the bible somewhere it says that Jesus "had hair like lambs wool" which means he did NOT have brown straight hair like all the pictures show. I believe he had darker skin., and i don't believe he had "blue" eyes. He would not have blue eyes if he had hair like lambs wool. They have lied to us threw out the centuries. The picture they show of Jesus being "white" with straight brown/blond hair and blue eyes i believe is a lie. Most people in that part of the world back then were of darker skin.

I had a roommate back in college that had blond curly hair, like an afro curly, pale white skin and light blue eyes. So it is possible he had blue eyes but I suspect they were more hazel in color like many of the egyptians and lebonese I've known over the decades.

Well, the reverse corollary of that is the swastika. It was a little-known symbol before the Germans co-opted it. Now you never see it anywhere. The LDS church feels that the cross was originally pagan. Being co-opted for “good” doesn’t alter its history.
Well, that is your church's opinion.

Don’t look for God to “be like YOU”.
It is WE who are to strive to “be like God”
We were created in the image of God, not the reverse.
Appearance is the LEAST of your worries
when you commit to walking as a faithful witness to all of the Reality of God.
Things like truth, love, power, fearlessness, compassion, holiness, justice, wisdom, righteousness, will make God’s presence with, and within you recognizable immediately whether you are a 6 foot 6 giant of a man or a 4 foot tall paralyzed Indian street beggar.
It begins with Jesus.
His appearance is a legitimate historical question.

Based on the predominant appearances of the populations in the area at the time, he was likely more or less "white." If better information shows up to contradict that, I'd be interested to see it. The asshole who smashed the statue wasn't just a thug, he is probably factually wrong. I'm not giving into PC crap in the face of contextually irrelevant spiritual platitudes.

Lame.

My search came up empty.

But I must ask, how would google, or anyone today, know what they looked like 2000+ years ago?

Most of the books at the smithsonian have been scanned in and are now available online. I'm sure something was said back in the day and was translated and studied.
