ALERT UPDATE-post #1- Mil officer says they're being told RIGHT NOW get food, water, & supplies

A few interesting tidbits:

The information I referenced posting last week did not come from .mil sources, but did come (through my friend) from .gov three-letter-agency types. I find it interesting that the man in the vid got his similar information from .gov sources, too, though from a different vector. The biggest difference is that my source specifically said that the coming shortages were "planned".

I do notice that retailers in my little AO are experiencing spot shortages of different items. It's nothing - so far - extremely alarming, but it is noteworthy enough for me to pleasantly chat with business owners and supermarket managers to keep a finger or two on the local pulse.

I've certainly never suggested that anyone panic, but there's a huge chasm between panic and being attentively aware. It's always better - in any evolving situation - to be days, weeks or months early, than to be seconds or minutes too late.

What some perceive as panic is actually common sense.

Very nice lettering.

FYI, you can buy big packets of silica gel that are the size of large charcoal hand warmers. Know what I’m talking about? I accidentally bought the wrong size on Amazon and was pleasantly surprised to have accidentally gotten these. They’re about the size of my hand (I have small hands).
Shame...

I read that you can ask a piano company for their large silica gel packs for free. They use them in the pianos.

No cats, no dogs, no kids, no hubby.
Just lil old me.
Candles are safe if you bave them contained, and on a stable shelf or table, away from other combustible items.
Many yrs ago it was winter. I went next door to visit a neighbor for 2 hrs. Came back home and saw the cat had knocked down a lamp onto the feather blanket on the couch. It was starting to smoke! Watered it down. Got home just in time!

When I buy candles I get the shorter pillar ones. I also buy the cheap bags of tea lights. To help prevent mishaps i plunk them in clear vases or some other clear glass container. Just make sure the container is at least a few inches taller than the candle. i Also have acquired, and maybe it’s just a New England thing, several glass hurricanes at yard sales. These work well too. Much less chance of one getting tipped.

The cat lives outside now, I hope.

Did not watch most of it, but based on the topic of the video it probably means: Operation Warp Speed
Yeah that guy is a real piece of work. He's pissed at Alex Jones because he won't hold Donald Trump accountable "for the millions he's killed as a result of Operation Warp Speed." That obviously is preaching to the choir for some here...but when I watched that, his creditability effectively vanished for me and the only image that came to me was this:

Dang. Wish my husband thought that way. We're not anywhere near where we need to be 'cause hubby thinks I'm a conspiracy theorist.
My son in law is like that. He has been very resistant the entire time they have been married. One of those guys that if he doesn't think of it, it is not right. She has managed to have a small reserve, but nowhere close to what she needs.
He says that she shows no faith. His thoughts is that God will feed them. If i am still alive when it hits, i have told her she can come here, hopefully alone. If not i intend to require him to eat at least two meals a day from the manna he has gathered.

We made our decision together, but I'm more adamant about it than Cary is. We've been living with little electricity now for quite a while. We use just enough to get by with the basics. It was our plan years ago when we started prepping to one day be without electricity.
I to realize that one day we will have to do without electricity, and am prepped accordingly with oil lamps, oil, wicks, globes, a selection of Coleman lanterns, with a bunch of mantels and fuel both Coleman fuel and propane, rechargeable lanterns and all that. But as long as it lasts i will use electricity, and have plenty of light. The older i get the more light hungry my eyes get.

dont forget the goodwill. my local one puts all the candles and parts into 1 gallon bags, and sell the bunch, make a lot of candles from that, and dont forget broken crayons, to color them with,

also craigs list and thrifty knickle, I once bought from a estate sale, 300 pounds of wax, plus spools of wick and several different molds, never know what you will find

I have a good friend who talks the same way. She doesn't understand why people stock up. Said that if everyone just bought what they needed for a few days, then supplies wouldn't run out. I told her that even the government has told people to have 2 weeks worth of food and supplies, then they changed it to a month's worth, then even upped it more. I told her that if everyone did buy extra and the store ran out of things before she got there, what good would her reasoning do her then? She said that God would take care of them.

Then I reminded her about Joseph. That God TOLD Joseph and the Pharoah that there was going to be seven good years and that they should stock up. And stock up they did! So when the seven bad years came, the country had enough for its people for SEVEN years, and also enough for lots of people in neighboring countries. That's a whole lot more than stocking up for two people for a month!! And GOD TOLD THEM to do that!! What if God was speaking through me to her right now, about this same subject??

Needless to say, she was silent. There was nothing she could say. I warned her bad times were coming. She can even see that. Hopefully she does some thinking and starts stocking up. And before anyone says anything, I don't think they would end up with us. They don't know what we have. And they've got a garden and an old homestead a few miles away. And he and others in the family hunt. They are an older couple (mid 70s) and have two kids and grandkids. They'd have family to help them if they need it.

- Noah built the Ark BEFORE it started to rain.
- Abraham had a MAG in addition to his own private army.
- Joseph stocked-up BEFORE the famine, when food was cheap and plentiful.
- Elijah was fed by ravens - in the wilderness, homeless, destitute, and frequently complaining to God.
- Joseph grabbed Mary and Jesus and did a hard-core Bugout BEFORE the soldiers arrived to slaughter the children.

That's just a short list off the top of my head.

se people tend to "forget" that just as the Israelites crossed the Jordan river into the promised land the manna was cut off. They were expected to make it in the land flowing with milk and honey. I have faith that HE will take care of me, AFTER I HAVE DONE ALL I CAN TO FOLLOW THE PROMPTINGS THAT HE HAS GIVEN ME. If i play the grasshopper, well i guess i deserve the grasshoppers fate.

My daughter and I use the tactic of going to assorted you tube videos on topics hubby is cold or luke warm to. Then when he gets on you tube the videos we watched pop up on the right hand side of the screen. He may or may not watch them. If he does all of a sudden he is supportive of the idea or procedure we have been trying to use at our place. We just chuckle and agree with him.

A terrible storm came into a town and local officials sent out an emergency warning that the riverbanks would soon overflow and flood the nearby homes. They ordered everyone in the town to evacuate immediately.
A faithful Christian man heard the warning and decided to stay, saying to himself, “I will trust God and if I am in danger, then God will send a divine miracle to save me.”
The neighbors came by his house and said to him, “We’re leaving and there is room for you in our car, please come with us!” But the man declined. “I have faith that God will save me.”
As the man stood on his porch watching the water rise up the steps, a man in a canoe paddled by and called to him, “Hurry and come into my canoe, the waters are rising quickly!” But the man again said, “No thanks, God will save me.”
The floodwaters rose higher pouring water into his living room and the man had to retreat to the second floor. A police motorboat came by and saw him at the window. “We will come up and rescue you!” they shouted. But the man refused, waving them off saying, “Use your time to save someone else! I have faith that God will save me!”
The flood waters rose higher and higher and the man had to climb up to his rooftop.
A helicopter spotted him and dropped a rope ladder. A rescue officer came down the ladder and pleaded with the man, "Grab my hand and I will pull you up!" But the man STILL refused, folding his arms tightly to his body. “No thank you! God will save me!”
Shortly after, the house broke up and the floodwaters swept the man away and he drowned.
When in Heaven, the man stood before God and asked, “I put all of my faith in You. Why didn’t You come and save me?”
And God said, “Son, I sent you a warning. I sent you a car. I sent you a canoe. I sent you a motorboat. I sent you a helicopter. What more were you looking for?”

I love this statement.

My brother claims if it happens he will just starve to death - this from a guy who lives and breaths his next meal - seriously - and he has a belly to back it up.
