997 today across all 50 states. That should not burden any area overmuch.
At least not yet. With 70,000 new cases. I'd the death rate is 1/2 of 1%, then some areas might have issues in a few weeks. Other will be fine. That's the nature of pandemics. Joy spots get hit, and others don't

I've known a few people who've died of The Covid, and well...they were already standing under the EXIT sign before Covid became a thing. BAD heart/lung issues, Parkinson's, etc.

This virus has probably already hit at least half of the LTC/nursing facilities in the country, (would LOVE to see that stat!) and it's taken out the weakest individuals. Death rates are bound to stabilize as it now spreads across healthier segments of the population.

I don’t know. I think we still have a few weeks until we see what the July riots and other fun do to the death rates.

I understand what you’re saying, but also this isn’t like a bus where you simply drop dead after getting hit. You have to diagnose, then treat (if you are lucky) and then wait around the hospital to die and so on.

I too would like to see accurate numbers from LTC. Would be quite enlightening I believe.

That is how the Swedes did it. They killed off all the susceptible ones and then their death rate then went way down. We kill off 60,000 of the right people and we can meet the Swedish low death rate.
