• collect wood
• light a fire
• build a twig stove
• mill flour
• mix flour, oil, salt and water to make dough
• and cook the dough on a fry pan

Took one for the team here, reporting in. I made a smallish batch of pancake batter (hadn't done that in fifty years) and cooked in a 6" saucepan held over four votive lights. You need a small pan so the candles aren't heating up any more metal than needed. I didn't have a cover to hold the heat in, but that was a nice-to-have, not a requirement. Worked fine, made a perfectly serviceable pancake. Smelled great, too.

Hey very cool to know. Not necessary for me, as i live in the boonies, have multiple ways to cook, and good resources. I'd be saving candles for lighting. However, that would work well for my suburbanite kids.

Will this be our future? Biden wants no coal plants.

Almost half of Colorado's electricity comes from coal plant's. I don't see the infrastructure going in to replace these.

Our administration is even more rotten than Ukraine's.

I find it ironic that closing coal plants and refineries are noticed but no one mentions all the hydro electric plants that were shut down years ago. You'd think the greenies would love the idea of a source of sustainable non polluting energy to charge all those Priuses. You'd think they'd want to be putting up new ones. Nope. Instead they're tearing down dams to "free rivers".
