JUST IN: UFC legend Mark Coleman is fighting for his life after he saved his parents from a house fire in Ohio.

Coleman, who was the first UFC Heavyweight Champion, singlehandedly carried both of his parents out of the house then went back for the family dog.

Coleman was then life-flighted to the hospital where he is now "battling for his life" according to family members.

"As many know, our dad was involved in a house fire early this morning along with his parents and beloved dog, hammer," an IG post read.

"He managed to carry both of his parents out of the house but despite his best efforts was not able to save hammer. He was life-flighted to the hospital where he is currently battling for his life after this heroic act."

My best friend was a wrestler at Miami of Ohio in the same weight class with him until Coleman transferred to The Ohio state university , met him a couple times hanging out while on leave from the corps , nice guy but a bit testy to some

I didn't know the name or the sport, but am collecting examples of males who've not been socially engineered to be gelded soi-bois, or, for those his age, turned into the carictures of flaming queens o' the seventies, complete with the over-emotin snark and toothless rants.

It's good to hear of him from those of you who know him personally, which helps him become more real, but unfortunately, also makes the anguish his poor parents must feel feel even more real : (
