The cops during the Seattle and Portland riots this last spring and summer, stood back and did nothing either.

They were told to stand back from what I remember hearing on the news all spring and summer long. V

It has been shown, that if the Police go in full riot gear into a mob, they make things worse. Things escalate. More violence, more criminal damage, more injuries, and possibly more deaths.

Law enforcement no longer arrest people at the time. It is way too dangerous, not just for police, but for the demonstrators too. So they video tape, everything, with high res cameras. After the demo, they take away pieces of evidence, and test stuff. Etc. Etc. Etc. These law breakers *WILL* be caught.

I am not against peaceful demonstration.
