TRANS Trump Says Parent Company Anheuser-Busch is a 'Great American Brand' That Deserves a 'Second Chance'

Donald Trump has U-turned on his stance over 'woke' Bud Light and suggested the beer deserves a 'second chance' just weeks ahead of a fundraiser organized by a lobbyist for the beer's parent company.

The presidential hopeful called for an end to the Bud Light boycott which was sparked by its disastrous campaign with trans-activist Dylan Mulvaney

The former president said the partnership was a 'mistake of epic proportions' for which a 'very big price was paid.'

But he insisted that parent company Anheuser-Busch InBev was not a 'woke company' as he threatened to release a list of those that are.

His comments came ahead of a fundraiser organized by a major Republican lobbyist for the company in March, where tickets are selling for $10,000 each. The event will be attended by dozens of members of Congress, Republican leaders as well as Donald Trump Jr.'

'Anheuser-Busch spends $700 Million a year with our GREAT Farmers, employ 65 thousand Americans, of which 1,500 are Veterans, and is a Founding Corporate Partner of Folds of Honor, which provides Scholarships for families of fallen Servicemen & Women,' he wrote on social media platform Truth Social on Tuesday.

They’ve raised over $30,000,000 and given 44,000 Scholarships. Anheuser-Busch is a Great American Brand that perhaps deserves a Second Chance?'

'What do you think? Perhaps, instead, we should be going after those companies that are looking to DESTROY AMERICA!' the former president stated.

His comments mark a stark departure from his previous stance in May, when he slammed the makers of Bud Light for pandering to ‘the radical Left,’

Then, Trump backed a conservative author who called the ad campaign ‘a woke, clueless, incredibly dumb miscalculation.’

His climb down comes exactly a month before he is due to meet with AB InBev lobbyist Jeff Miller, a close ally to former Speaker Kevin McCarthy, who is hosting a fundraiser for the presidential hopeful in Washington D.C.

The brewing giant paid Miller's firm $260,000 in 2023, according to lobbying disclosures seen by Politico.

Meanwhile Trump is drowning in more than $76 million of legal fees resulting from various civil and criminal trials.

I'd love to see that list. But unless he includes private equity firms like Black Rock it won't matter. Plus the private equity firms are not required to report their own valuations on a regular basis yet they get to dictate how other companies run their businesses. This needs to change as well.

I was just listening to last night's Tim Pool show and the consensus of the young conservatives was that they weren't going to buy Bud-Lite and that Trump should have endorsed the new breweries begun by young conservatives.

That he didn't do so was attributed to Trump's age and being out of touch with what is happening with the culture.

This is possible. He's right that Budweiser has typically been a brand that America has relied upon. That's a huge part of the sting of betrayal that many felt when they went woke. I didn’t drink BL before, though I've had a few of their other offerings, but will not again until a real apology ensues.

If Trump can get that apology, that would be interesting. We'll see.

ETA: I think that AB did the ads because of the looming threat of a low ESG score. Maybe Trump can convince them that ESG is going to be rendered powerless during his next term?

Trump is nothing if not a pragmatic businessman so this doesn't surprise me. Still, I'd prefer to see AB broken up and sold to their competitors. The people who work there can apply to work for the new owners. Go woke, go broke. Still not going to buy their crap beer.

yeh - keep hitting Bud and helping the Mexicans kill off the US >>>

the problem NEVER was the Bud corporate - it was a bunch of dumbazzes in a subsidiary - happens every single day >>> the good that came out - the more conservative corporations are keeping a firmer hand on the subs - and - it flushed out the liberal corporations that agreed and even emulated the liberal stupidity .....

problem Bud still has is a REAL problem with employing an INTELLIGENT marketing firm - lastest tactic to bury the queer marketing with bigot red neck is beyond stupid ......

Trump is not after an apology from AB. He is after their money.

Is AB a great American company? They are playing for Dem & Rep influence.

In the 22-23 years, A-B gave much more to Repubs. So far in this year, it is leaning for dems but this is just the start.

It is a toss up right now for contributions. How much do they give to woke programs?

And I have to say their product is CRAP. I wouldn't want to drink their swill if it was free.

Pride comes before the fall.....Pride month ended.
I like the Trump package, but I have my concerns.............thankfully, there are some good Gluten free beers to enjoy as far as my personal consumption goes. Prefer the bourbon.....gotta cut out the sugars though.

The timing of his statement coinsides with the new bud light commercial to be shown during the superbowl.

I more or less agree, though the connection between Budweiser and America has normally been very strong. It is a heritage, and as I said before, that's why it pissed off so many people.

Trump is both correct AND chasing dollars.

FWIW, I'm not fond of BL in particular, and I've always found Budweiser in general to be meh.

Stella Artois on the other hand, that I do enjoy. Or did, anway.

Forgive and forget or don’t.
what people do is their business. Gay, tranny etc. who cares? Don’t try to force it upon me, children etc. Keep your business to yourself. Don’t try to force the narrative that its normal. It isn’t. It’s your choice. Men should not be allowed to compete in women’s sports or go to the women’s bathrooms. You are not a woman.
Because you think it, doesn’t make it so in real life.

I think he misjudges the depth of people's disgust.
He knows better than most, I think, but yeah, it goes deeper than he realizes. He is being persecuted mightily, and in ways most people would not be able to withstand. But he has not been subjected to the decades of compression we've had to endure, he would have a hard time really relating to it.

Nope…

Unlike the left we think for ourselves and don’t fall into lockstep with any politician including Trump. AmBev knew exactly what they were doing and blaming the ad coordinator or whoever she was as a scapegoat won’t work. They made their bed and now they have to lie in it. Besides, that beer is good tranny beer anyway….weaker than mouse piss.

Neither here nor there.
Trump has never had a problem with trannies and gays, so this doesn't surprise me.
Most of us don’t. It’s when they try to force their lifestyle upon the rest of us using the courts and legislation that become riled up. When they try to eliminate genetic women, and this woman face crap, do we become riled up. As someone else sai 65,000 employees didn’t ask for this and most probably never saw it coming!

Pool actually included that an apology was necessary. He then amended that to add that the company state the apology and then turn the mike over to James Lyndsay for 20 minutes so that he can educate the public on Marxism and wokeism.

They not only need to apologize for the trannies crap, but also for the woman face crap. A lot of the pushback came from women!!! We’re damn tired of this woman face crap, from beer, to cosmetics, to miss universe! It needs to end and now!

You see, that is the problem. Perversion, like addiction, is always progressive and demanding more. Let a little in and you realize later you invited hell into your home or life.

A man lacking morals will then flip flop on his stand. That is what concerns me about Trump.

I’m sure that Trump is sickened by this stuff as most everyone else. But if he wants to win this time, he needs to avoid mean tweets. He’s not flip flopping . He can’t afford to piss too many people off at this juncture.

I'm a big Trump supporter BUT.... I can think for myself. I didn't buy the 'warp speed' program and didn't get vaxxed. But I did research his suggestions for HCQ and Ivermectin and found them to be good.

I'm not a beer drinker but even if I was, I wouldn't have anything to do with A-B even though Trump suggested we do.

I WOULD like to see his list!

They are not an American owned company. They were bought by Belgian-Brazilian brewer InBev.

Just like all the rest of these foreign owned companies, they do not have old fashioned American core principles. They do not have the best interests of America and are just a part of the decline of this once great country.
