About 100,000 tickets have been requested for President Donald Trump’s rally at the Wildwoods Convention Center next week - the highest demand for any event the president has held, U.S. Rep. Jeff Van Drew told Fox News during an interview Sunday.

“It’s been exciting and I’m proud to say for his event - of all the events he’s done in all the country - we’ve had the most ticket requests,” said Van Drew, R-2nd Dist., who recently switched parties after losing support from Democratic leaders for opposing impeachment.

Trump is slated to appear at the Wildwoods Convention Center at 7 p.m. on Jan. 28. Trump’s re-election campaign announced he was coming to Cape May County earlier this month to support Van Drew.

Van Drew was one of two Democratic congressman to vote against the president’s impeachment and changed parties officially soon after.

“We’re proud to have him,” Van Drew said. “It shows he cares about the big towns and big places and he also cares about the little places.”

The claim that the New Jersey rally broke a record for ticket requests could not be independently verified. While news organizations have reported on crowd sizes at other Trump rallies, news reports often do no include the number of people who requested tickets ahead of an event.

Tickets for the Wildwood rally were made available online for free. Event organizers have said they are making plans for overflow crowds.

Wildwood Mayor Pete Byron said last week he had heard estimates that 40,000 tickets had been issued for an event being held in a venue that can hold 7,400 people. There is also the possibility another 10,000 may show up to the city.

About 150,000 people are in Wildwood on a typical summer day, a Cape May County spokeswoman said.
The city has about 5,000 year-round residents.

that kind of numbers for a NJ Trump Rally >>> 10X worse than for a WI/MI/PA/OH - NY & NJ are supposed to firmly entrenched & immovable DNC territory ...

Snort.

Not good for the left at all, being in NJ.

Add on top of it that any one of the Dem clown car brigade would find it a very big challenge to fill even a 7400-seat venue.

Wildwood is located a firmly red teritory. Anyone not familiar with the state and highways. That blue band is route 95, essentially a skid mark located between Philly and NYC.
Included is the recent record holders for highest murder rate in the US Camden and Newark.

Anyone here actually been to a Trump rally? Will my Desert Storm vet status increase my chance of getting in? I'm not sure I'll be able to camp out overnight in line. The arena seats 11,000 so there is certain to be overflow.

My thoughts are the same. Who wants the virus. They could use this to ban Trump rallies. I dont know
If they do I'd love to see him go back to fire side chats like a former President. As far as I know that room still exists in the White House. It wouldn't have the same excitement or comradery.

This too shall pass.
I’ve thought for a long time that he ought to do fireside chats, even if he keeps doing the rallies. He could use them as an educational tool, maybe have some Constitutional experts in as guest speakers, and have some talks on history, too.

MUST-SEE Footage of CBS Truck Getting Towed From The Trump Rally

Y’all MUST see this; it is glorious! A CBS news van was parked illegally outside the Trump rally. There are reports saying thousands of people have shown up since Sunday to make sure they are one of the 7,000 able to enter the convention center.

It is incredible to see thousands of smiling faces waiting in the cold and wet weather to support our President. I’m sure it comes as a surprise to Don Lemon that these people can find their way since, according to him, all Trump followers are hillbilly idiots.
Well, if this doesn’t get you fired up this morning, maybe this will, you can see in the following video a CBS news truck being towed away from the Convention Center in Wildwood, NJ this morning, as Trump supporters chant Thank You, Mr. President.
