CHAT Tomorrow's moving day

The truck is loaded and 6am in the morning DD and I leave for LA. We're bringing their electric guitars, keyboards, and computers in the Jeep with us and I'll be driving back same day. I don't want to board the pups and will just be late feeding them. My friend has keys so if something were to come up he would feed them for me.

Prayers for safe travels would be appreciated. Driving back to Vegas on a Friday night may be rough.

You bet you have our prayers! Don't just double, TRIPLE check all the deets, and I know you'll be beat when you get home, but don't forget to sign in and let us know all is well. We worry, you know, even when there is no good reason for it.

Please keep your tank topped off and an ear on the news. With all of the earth movements, I would have extra bottled water and some energy bars in the trunk (and teach your daughter to keep some water and energy bars at hand).

Also, before bed, lay out clothing, sturdy shoes, and keep a flashlight near by. Right after an earthquake, glass can be a problem, so it pays to have sturdy shoes on your feet rather than slippers.

Finished moving BF out if his horrible rental yesterday. Praying for you to have a safe and event free journey.

Good advice. Driving in the desert along with crossing the San Andreas fault going to LA. When
younger and commuting I always had supplies with us just in case. Cajon Pass is an awesome drive and not in a good way. Have a safe passage Annie. Wave as you go by. I'm practically within spitting distance.

Personally I think it’s the height of stupidity to move TO Los Angeles. Let’s hope it doesn't cost your daughter her life.

West Hollywood is a pretty good area as far as safety goes. My DH’s grown son (from his first marriage) lives there with roommates (not gay, believe it or not!). It’s supposed to be close to 90 degrees today. Stay cool.

EtA: nevermind, DH’s son lives in West LA! Not west hollywood. That’s a good area, too. As is Studio City, Burbank, Glendale, Toluca Lake…
