Story TOLD YA SO!

Well, I missed this one somehow. I really enjoyed having it to read on the ferry ride to Homer from Kodiak Island. Great tale, well told...thank you very much!!
 
Thanks everyone. The next tale is up to 83K words now. It will be a month or more before it is finished. Probably half to 2/3 done now. But, our daughter had a house fire (all safe, and not real bad), and we're helping out there.

I agree with Nature Lover! I know I read this story waaayyyyyy back then, but read it again now. With all the financial "troubles" going on, it seemed like this story had a lot more impact now, especially since dh and I are now around the age of the "older folks" and feeling our ages. This time the story gave me some heads up ideas....

His 'From the Bottom Up' is pretty darn good, too. I revisit this stories for a 'prepper' refresher. Makes me want to load up on chicken feed and vegetable seeds.
 
I read bits and pieces of this over the years as it was posted but RL got in the way of coming back to it and I drifted away. When it popped up again a few days ago, I read a couple of bits and it started to jog my failing memory.

I decided to just buckle down and read the whole thing, start to finish. Just finished about 20 minutes ago.

Thanks are clearly in order even if they're a tad belated.

I enjoyed the whole experience Patience; thanks for your efforts. This was a great tale, very realalistic and completely enjoyable.
