Specifically deer and wood ticks. I need to know how to get rid of them in a large area. Like the size of a yard.
I don't know if anyone remembers my posting about my brother's dog, Grizz, and the hell the 2 of them went thru. (Grizz came down with Lyme disease as a result of his vet neglecting to give the dog the vax, long sad story, but that is the gist of it.)
Anyway, just to be safe, my brother took his other dog, Patches, to the vet for bloodwork. Guess what?? She's got Rocky Mt. Spotted Fever AND ehrichia (or something like that), both tick borne illnesses.
He lives in the country, surrounded by woods (nice, eh?) but it seems ticks are a problem. Is there anything he can use to help reduce the tick population on his property? Something that is maybe natural and not chemical? Will take suggestions on chemicals too, but prefer natural.
He is about to get a puppy and doesn't want to lose yet another dog (there is also a chance he will also lose Patches...trust me when I tell you that will break him...2 or possibly 3 of his babies in under 6 months oy).
Thanx
