I found an engorged tick that must have fallen off one of the dogs---problem is, I found it by stepping on it. Took me a little while to find the remains, meanwhile I'd been trying to figure out which dog was bleeding, and tracking it around the kitchen while doing so.
My question, it popped on a rug--are there likely to be viable eggs left behind? I sprayed everything down with vinegar, but I'm wondering if I should just burn the rug?
I did look carefully, but I'm not sure I would see them, FB posts notwithstanding.
