Stage 1 of 3 stages to the Saturn 5 rocket.......

7 million pounds of thrust..........enough power to run the US for a month at take off.........and the explosive power of a small atomic bomb.......and during take off the loudest noise ever created by humans.

Saved, to glorify God.
People have no concept of the much greater power available to humanity in fossil fuels rather than electric power.

Heavy Diesel fuel powers the worlds largest FINNISH BUILT Wartzila engine for humongous container ships crossing the oceans, with a mind boggling 110 THOUSAND HORSEPOWER.

THE LA0RGEST ELECTRIC MOTOR KNOWN is only 45 THOUSAND HORSEPOWER, on USN SHIPS, likely requiring onboard nuclear power plants to make them work. Wind, solar, or batteries to power huge motors can't equal the fuel/power needs of industrial size working diesel fuel machines.

Im pretty sure if i saw that grouper,my sphincter would sphinct for sure ......wow
I know on the offshore rigs in the Gulf of Mexico, the commercial divers hated those groupers because they'd hang around the BOP stack while they were trying to inspect it. They'd suck up the divers and try to swallow them, so the divers would kill any of them they'd see hanging around.

That picture is the biggest grouper I've ever seen, though. I don't know if that diver understood the danger they were in.

Ouch! My dad managed to catch his middle *and* ring fingers with a post maul while pounding in a steel t-post... not sure how! Multiple compound fractures. He was in his early 60s, and the idiot doctor in the ER wanted to just splint them and put him on antibiotics... said it didn't matter at his age that they wouldn't bend anymore!

I got him to a decent orthopedic surgeon, who did a great job with pins and tiny screws... it took about 6 months, but dad was able to play his trumpet again.

Before I posted it, I read the caption, which said “abandoned library.” There was no mention of it being a virtual creation. I also blew it up until it lost resolution and didn’t see any definitive indicators of being artificial.
interesting metaphor / commentary on what our society thinks of books, now............

I drove into one of those in Texas a couple decades ago. I could see it for miles and miles and miles and kept driving toward it and it seemed like it was not getting any closer. I kept driving until I was upon it and it was SO EFFIN HUGE I am still not over the scale of that crane, chain links, and bucket!

It was in N.Texas near the Oklahoma border by a few dozen miles.

Energy density is a necessary factor.

correct....that and portablity..........and for the time being oil/gas has nothing like it in both those factors.

Imagine something you can carry in a gallon jug that can drive a 4,000 lb vehicle with 4 200 lb people in it 20 to 30 miles........we haven't found anything yet with that kind of energy equation.
