I personally, don't think the military is a unified, monolithic block.
It is a cross section of the US populace....sorta.
What some flamin' ass liberal in the pentagon dictates to the grunts out in the real world...that may not happen.
We are at a ideological crossroads in this country, moreso than the war of northern aggression, IMO.
What we think we know about the .mil (not being there) is probably inaccurate.
At this point, I wouldn't hazard a guess as to how it would all fall out.

IDK - I hear tell that there are more than a few foreign national gang members in the military both to earn citizenship as well as the intent to bolster their gang’s capabilities when they return. And they ain’t the fatties and pregnant women which have signed on due to ever lowering standards.

I hate this. It seems entirely plausible. I still hate it. I hate that our country is devolving into this. I urged caution to some people on on another platform about taking matters into their own hands at this point in time. Not because I don't understand their frustrations, but rather because anything at this point in time will do nothing but get M.L declared and the election stopped. The left is itching for a reason to do that. We can't give them a reason to. They have proven they will gaslight it and make it all the fault of the right, even when it is obviously not. The people I was cautioning are vulnerable right now because they have no preps left, no homes, and no defenses of their own. I hate that I had to be the voice of reason when I feel their plight with every ounce of my patriotic soul.Interesting analysis, colonel. It may be a misnomer to call it “fantasy.” Seems possible, and perhaps even likely. So, you and 33rdInd have it going something like this:
Trump wins election.
Left riots.
Joe resigns; Kamala sworn in.
MAGA transition gets “complicated.”
Right riots, or perhaps false flag riots are then blamed on Trump’s deplorable supporters.
Martial Law.
No swearing in for Trump.
Civil War.
Millwright’s dress code in play?

Owner at the end of his engineering career worked for a 70K worldwide engineering/architect firm.
Remember the "hurricane barriers" put up in Louisiana/Texas area after a significant hurricane? His company was a MAJOR contractor hired by the US government Corps of Engineers to do this.
Owner interacted with MANY engineering disciplines during his "Nuclear Start Up" career in this company. Many were intrigued to find out that Owner was a military college graduate and many shared their military experiences with him. (Bird of the feather effect.)
A couple of these engineers had prior careers working for the government. Special Forces was common as was the CIA - and one would not say what he did.
"Can't tell you because that is Top Secret" or some such thing.
One imagines it is VERY possible that a large portion of the company "movers & shakers" have previous background in "security services" for the government.
It is ALWAYS possible to curry favor in government circles if one promises along with the contracted service to allow "inside supervision" of that service. And the "double dip" possibility for these split allegiance employees might make it MORE attractive to them.
