The level of chaos in daily life is really astounding to me. The entire downtown area is essentially gutted and there is little economic activity going on. It really does look like a fortress here, especially both the apple and nike stores being boarded up or fenced in like a terrorist camp.

The final phase of the collapse will be economic, as in virtually no tax revenue etc. Kate Brown still has everything shut down pretty much.
