Let's Go Brandon!
Turns out, for Michigan, it's Flint, which isn't much of a surprise. So what say you, residents of the various states? Did they call it?
Using what metrics?
Camden NJ is a dump there are worse areas.
Scranton PA, it's a dump but your not getting shot for driving down the wrong street while white.
Take a walk through town after dark would be a good way to find out.Cairo, IL still got peoples in it?
NJ? First thought was Newark.Using what metrics?

Delete oopsEdina (MN) is basically SW Minneapolis. Used to be a high end section of town. Cake Eaters.
I suppose it's rot-creep from Minneapolis proper.
What do you think about Anchorage?Yep. But never, ever go to Wasilla Alaska - day or night. Ever. They got that one right…Best to just avoid the whole Mat-Su Valley while you’re at it.

She needs to be packing at all times. What do you think about Anchorage?
One of my little coworkers (barely 22 yrs old) will be moving there in August. She is following along behind her fiancé who is getting transferred there.
I was worried about that. And suspected the worst soon as she told me where they were moving to.She needs to be packing at all times.
I have never lived in Anchorage but have been there a lot when we lived in Alaska.
I would never live there but then I would never live in a city either but for reference on crime rate here are a few statistics
Is there a link?

Thank you for the information!I lived in Anchorage, mostly up in the mountains above the city, for 48 of the 54 years I’ve lived in Alaska. It is much changed but still a nice place for the most part. The population in town is under 300,000, but the greater area stretches from Eklutna to the north and down to Hope south and across the inlet - totaling 400,000 people within its 1,960 square miles.
There are the usual city amenities, very good water from a glacier, incredible beauty every day everywhere. They do a pretty good job on road maintenance with summer repairs and winter clearing. Assuming everyone is carrying is a safe bet but we do have too many libs turning the city blue, as happens in many red states. Crime is high per capita, and a lot of that is due to the people arriving to run away from the trouble they got into in other states, gangs, homeless - as well as the statistical twist on low populations.
I would not be fearful of living there, but I greatly prefer to be away from any city. Many people commute for work in Anchorage from the Mat-Su Valley, but there are other bedroom communities within the Anchorage boundaries: Eagle River, Peter’s Creek, Chugiak - and from Girdwood south of the city. So there are options. Since her fiancé is being transferred, if he is military that means east side of town but that is not an area I’d choose. Better to live in Eagle River as it’s only 10 miles from JBEAR. Many opportunities and a lot of good jobs available if she wants to find work as well.
