... she understands why Muslim women feel safer wearing a burqua.
I wonder how many Muslim women she talked to to come to that conclusion?

Imagine the shtank under that tent. Hot, hot, days. The so called men all wear the dirty nightshirt. Shtanky as well.I wonder how many Muslim women she talked to to come to that conclusion?
I always felt it was compliance with a .gov diktat. Not going to go along with anything I deem harmful because .gov says to. Eff off.so now it isn't about corona
it is about your social invisibility
which is what we said it was about to start with
I'm a strong proponent of information security, as once upon a time that was a job of mine.
LOL at people who think wearing a mask makes them anonymous.
I have the prettiest pearl mask. The little pearls are stung on that stretchy stringy stuff. Everywhere I go, women tell me how much they love my mask. Easier to breath, but not as good as a bare nekid face.I just ordered some! They are the sparkly kind, and they look real. But they are just a mesh with tiny rhinestones and they stretch. There are couple of places I must wear one, and these are the ultimate F-U!!
Those are outliers. It does, at least in part.
There are still some of the worst Portland rioters at large because fedgov couldn't parse out who was who with the masks on.
They caught some, and 4-chan used tats and clothing to figure out some, but many IDs are still a mystery.
It helps.
There is another type of anonymity: In a mask, a person, is just a person - male/female, of a certain age, and height, etc, but person is not the person with a screwed up jaw, or the vaguely deformed person with small yellow teeth, and no upper lip, because even when recognized, those parts are nicely covered up, making basic social interactions more neutral. For a gal with an ugly face, the mask DOES help. Those are outliers.
The people in your town will still recognize you, even at a distance. Hair, build, clothing, and gait, are every bit as identifying as your face.
The cell towers will still track you. Every WiFi network you pass is recorded. Your purchases will still be tracked. Your car still has a plate. And, your gait is probably tracked more frequently than you realize.
The everyday people that think they are somehow turned into vapor simply by wearing a rectangle of cloth are living in a fantasy.
Transplant patients have to wear a mask when around the public for a little while post-op to discourage any kind of infection while the body has a chance to recuperate. Its protocol.
I say this as an example because there are real reasons for people to have a reason to mask in public.
If people want to hide in public behind a mask who is it hurting? No one, who cares? It's still a "free country". if they want to mask up what business is it to anyone else?
I've got bigger fish to fry and couldn't care less.

I suppose the Mask is to become the new Jewish Star to separate the masses.According to Bidet's tweets this afternoon, you're gonna keep masking until you get their shot. It's the rule as of today.
